I've been using Fences 2 since Oct 2013 (and v1 since 2011). I did a Win 8.1 clean reinstall Monday and then reinstalled Fences, 2.13 I presume. Tried to activate it and it didn't recognize my email/pw. Went to the site and it didn't recognize my registration email and pw there either, but when I entered that very same email to reset my pw, the email came and I was able to reset the same pw. But trying to activate or log onto the site, I kept getting the inval...![]()

Fences - STOP icons from auto-arranging
I have the Sort Fence option set to none and yet every time I try to reposition an icon within a fence they don't stick where I want them. If I have a dozen icons within a fence and I want one or two icons to remain next to each other, it seems like every time I move one icon to where I want it to go, the others all change their order. Some Windows icons won't exclude from hiding
Just installed 2.13 and imported the old snapshot after clean Win 8.1 reinstall. Previously. a number of shortcuts on my desktop such as Computer, Desktop and Users would exclude from hiding, but now they won't take it (hold the check). Others that I would think fall in the same category, such as Task Scheduler, Control Panel and the System Drive are taking the exclude. I've tried reccreating them and copying the old .lnk back in, but no go. Any trick or setting to this...![]()

Windowblinds causing taskbar to lock up in Windows 8.1
So I've had this problem for months now, been back and forth with Stardock technical support and nothing they suggest seems to fix it. I've used Windowblinds for years and apart from one issue with UAC a few years ago I've never had any big problems with it. But at the end of my tether I've disabled it this morning as I simply cannot fix this issue.

Object Desktop Infinite renewal but syas inactive and to renew?
I was charged on 12-18-2014 for Object Desktop Infinite renewal. However, in my downloads page, it says inactive and to renew. Nothing shows up on my Object Desktop application as well. Any idea as to what exactly is going on here?

Master Skin prices skyrocket!
Why on earth are master skin prices going up? The other day the were mismarked at $20. that is SCARY!
Funny thing when a skin for a Stardock Product costs as much as or more than the Stardock product itself. That is bad news for the community and will diminish the Windowblinds product brand and value.
Looked at it again and at $9.99 it is still high. Any master skin should be priced the same price as a song on itunes... $.99 . Same amount of work as a ...![]()

Icons disappearing bug still seems to be present
I just did a clean resintall of Win 8.1 and Fences 2.13. I recall that somewhere between 2.11 and 2.13, probably 2.11 in Oct 2013, I reported here an odd behavior, seemingly a bug, that caused all the icons on the desktop to disappear. I just ran into it again setting up the new install. It occurs when there is a horizontally displayed fence that abuts the (left) edge of the screen. If I try to insert an icon in that fence to its left along the edge of the screen, that is...![]()

WindowBlinds issues with Logitech Gaming Software
Besides causing issues with Firefox 35 (the subject of another tread here), WindowBlinds also affects the Logitech Gaming Software that I use for my gaming mouse in my Windows 8.1 laptop.
The Logitech software will crash if I try to add a program or change the icon to any of the profiles it has. Also, there will be no icon in the notification area; only a blank space. Fences keeps disabling its self
Hello,
I've just reinstalled Windows 8 and got it fully up to date, only installed fences and avast so far, fences worked at first and is fully registered but now it keeps closing / disabling its self moaning that there is something wrong with explorer.exe but i can't see any evidence of crashing from Windows etc.
I've uninstalled, restarted, installed again and still the same problem.
Really annoying, love this product but it appears to be so buggy.

DesktopX Public - does it have a timeout?
It's not available anymore for purchase or download at Stardock.com, but the public demo is still available on some sites,
for example here:
