There are times when I outsmart myself. Thinking that I have become too predictable with my passwords, I think up of crazy word and number combinations...and then forget to write them. Or, that I have been way too wholly loyal to Yahoo, until they began imposing a time limit on your absence from their email services...the result of which is losing your email address and creating chaos on sites you signed up for using that now dead yahoo email (Thank you Spencer for letting me get back in here!)

Blurry docklets
I have the most current version of object dock on a couple different W7 machines. I'm noticing some docklets are blurry, or the image look almost doubled. It gets crisp when you hover over it. I'm guessing this is just a simple setting, but I'm not sure which. Any idea?![]()

Surface RT Sucks
I am sorry, there is no nice way to put it. I have had the thing for 2 months now, and find about the only thing it is good for is playing movies. It is not even good to surf the web as you cannot load Java! I know MS hates that (preferring ActiveX), but unfortunately many sites use it.
I also cannot use Logmein, VPN, VMWare View, or even OWA! There is no hard client for VPN, and since RT does not do Java, you cannot use the Anyconnect. VMWare View has a client i...![]()

A Question About Wired Networking.
Okay, so my line in and router is downstairs where our main PCs are, and I want to connect various devices to a wired connection upstairs. Thing is, networking is not my thing and I'm not sure how to go about it. I did a search and got a whole lot of gobbledygook I could make neither head nor tail of...and pages of sites wanting to sell me shit. Maybe I wasn't asking the right questions.

Resident Evil Security Terminal
This one may sound like a big task but I'm sure someone here will have the experience to do this (i hope).
Request:
A resident evil animated background and windowsblinds skin to match.
Would like for it to be based on a security terminal inside of "The Hive" with an animated background that could maybe show CCTV stills from the film?

Desktop disappears after uninstalling Fences
I uninstalled Fences (previous version, not the newest). When I returned to the desktop, all the icons were gone and nothing I could do seemed to work. Is there a trick to uninstalling Fences so that this doesn't happen? Running Windows 7 on the computer.

Even being familiar with the stats, it was a really fascinating and well put together illustration of the massive level of inequality in wealth we have in the United States.
I have two fundamental criticisms with it.

Order processing on weekends?
I know it's suppose to take up to 24 hours for processing, but I'm not sure if it's straight up 24 hours or business days only. Paypal "pending" ?
I've recently bought, oh hang on, I should say "tried to buy" windowsBlinds.
The payment went through paypal, paypal says the money is gone, but the account sits in "pending", also on the website customer area the product is still sitting in my "cart".
I've never experienced anything like this before, most companies you click paypal, pay, get goods. Here it seems there is some delay in the system, it looks bad, makes me wonder if everything is on the "up and up".

Product Activation could not write the activation signature
New Win7 x64 rig. OD subscriber. D/L'd & installed my apps from the store. Ran WB, Fences & Tweak7 without any problems, each accepted my OD license key & activated post-haste.

Two really good articles for beginners about computer security and malware removal.
The Windows Club is a very good resource site.. for all stuff Windows.
They do miss the first and most important thing to do: Create a “Guest Account” without Administrator privileges and work/surf from that account.
I wish the_Monk would write what he said he would about securing your computer as he does have a really good understanding of the subject… and how much you can really accomplish without using software.

Flickering icons with Fences 2 when using Folder Portals
I've had Fences 2 installed for a while (since the initial v2.0 release) and it has mostly been working fine with no crashes or anything like that. I am using Windows 8 Pro 64-bit along with Start8, Decor8 and WindowsFX 5.1. I have five fences for different groups of desktop icons and two folder portals for my games shortcuts.
I've noticed that after a certain length of time that the folder portals will flicker on and off as I mouse over it or attempt to double-click the icons to open...![]()
