Hi there,

Just popped in to report a bug. If you right-click an icon in a fence on the desktop and select properties (for example if you just wanted to see the shortcut location pointed to or other information), the shortcut suddenly goes back to the desktop and I have to drag it back ito the fence again each time. Surely not intended behaviour. Gets annoying after a while. Any chance of a fix please?

Perhaps this has been brought up before and I missed it...

Fences 3

So I created a new fence and named it VMWare. There was already a start menu folder with that name.

Fences replaced that folder with a fence folder and in turn wiped out the original contents of the vmware start menu folder. I had to delete the fence and actually run a repair installation of vmware workstation 12 to get the proper shortcuts back in place. ( I couldn't simply ...

I activate Fences 2.0 on my Windows 7, I can change the color of fences, but not the background which is purely black. I tried several ways but failed, anyone show me how to change my wallpaer, either its color, with a picture or with a theme, etc., thanks.

The easiest way to get rid of the adds in the W10 Start Menu is with Start10.

But say you haven't gotten Start 10 (not here!), there are other places it will appear: Your desktop and file explorer.

I have Windows 10. All is up to date. Fences is up to date. I've been having an issue lately where I will create a new shortcut or link, then click and drag it into a previously setup fenced area, and the icon simply disappears. I am currently laying out cursors and icons for a new WindowBlind. The animated cursors are all raytraced in POV-Ray 3.7 and assembled using software I wrote. I am still working on the icons to accompany the skin. A preliminary wallpaper has been created using POV-Ray, data from Wikipedia and Google Maps, and a map texture vectorized in CorelDRAW x6. I am trying to recapture the feel of those hacker films of the mid 90s. UI elements will be raytraced as well when I get to that point.

Is there a way to stop icons from being moved out of a fence or completely locking them in place? I am not sure if it is a bug or I just accidently move them but icons seem to randomly get moved outside of their fence, I have not seen it actually happen I have only noticed them outside of the fence. I want to be able to lock them in their fences.
