I have the Sort Fence option set to none and yet every time I try to reposition an icon within a fence they don't stick where I want them. If I have a dozen icons within a fence and I want one or two icons to remain next to each other, it seems like every time I move one icon to where I want it to go, the others all change their order. After installing Fences 3.03 on Windows 10, every time while showing the desktop (by using Win+D or pressing show desktop button), Windows explorer crashes and then restarts.

We could observe the desktop is re-drawn and sometime there will be a dialog saying Fences cannot be loaded.

 Guys, when it rains, it pours.

 

We have another great member of WC in need of any help he can get.

 

Harley, a Master Skinner here at WC has been the victim of a house fire. The Myers family home burned to the ground recently, and they had no homeowners insurance.

 

No one was harmed, fortunately, but they lost it all. They are currently in a motel room where the local fire dept. placed them, and they have help from family to keep that going, for now.

Hey there...,

 

I just purchased Fences 3, because in the trial version I loved the "folder portals" feature. It did work great in the trial version, but it does not work in the purchased version and I really don't know why. I am using Fences 3 on Windows 10. Every time I try to open a folder, the folder opens in a new window and not within fences like it did in the trial version.

I hope you guys can help me.

FIREFOX 50 TITLE-BAR ISSUE (Win 8 Theme)


Maybe this will go away when I REBOOT but after purchasing and installing Windowblinds 10, I cannot 'resize' Firefox 50 from the title bar (Windows 10 x64 latest updates) . I am able to resize 'fox from the sides and bottom.

I am going to reboot now to see...thought people should know about this. Explorer windows work fine.

I saw that some people had this issue back in 2014-2015. I wasn't sure if I should bump that thread or not. Basically just as the title states, when ever I update my Nvidia drivers I cannot restore any of the snapshots and have to reset everything manually. Doesn't matter if I take a new one right before updating or not. None of them will restore. Here is the old thread if this will help. http://forums.stardock.com/459753

Have installed Fences on Windows 8.

Tried it on a laptop I tried Windows 8 out on a week or so ago, and now have put it on a Windows 8 Pro (x64) install...

On laptop Fences behaved fine. Well, it behaves fine on the Windows 8 Pro on my main computer BUT it takes about 15 seconds to load after windows finishes loading. I have no desktop Icons until Fences finally loads (or perhaps loads straight away but nothing shows for 15 seconds or so). The machine boots in about 5 seconds or so, so its...

Hi,

I have a top of the range laptop (i7-6820HK & Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M) and have recently upgraded to Desktop Objects.

However, I find that with WindowFX activated the GUI becomes very sluggish and occasionally appears to jump, skipping parts of the animation.  Yet, I can run different computer games without having any such graphical performance issues.

Now I expected a little performance hit but not so much that it would affect the user experience such that when activated, ...

In the early days I made it quite clear that I did not like Win 10 and that I'd stick with Win 8.1 because it is fast, stable and reliable.  In fact, I'm still using 8.1 on my main rig and am happy with the choice to remain with it.  However, I have Win 10 0n my HP 2-in1 and like it much better now that I've tweaked it to suit my likes and needs.  In some cases I used 3rd-party apps to achieve the desired result, but often times I could adjust things in 'Settings...

I wish to know "How to increase the video limit for
DreamMaker" currently the limit is only 150mb so
is it possible to modify it so that I can use say
about around 500mb instead of the 150mb limit?.
I want to be able to create my dreams in high resolution
which I can use on the 4k Screens to my PC.

I would like to use one of the many YouTube videos looping videos at a background, I have used an application to download 4K video loops from YouTube but they download as MP4 or MKV and it seems that DeskScapes 8 can only use .avi and a .wmv or a few others. I looked in to converting the file to those formats but they are really large files and seem to crash when converting. any suggestions folks?

Hi,

I used IconPackager for years. My SDD crashed a few days ago and I changed it. A new Windows 8.1 is now OK (same system as before) but when I want to install IconPackager I get this : "The following minimum system requirements for this setup were not met : operating system : Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2. The setup will now abort

In ODM IconPackager is marked as "not compatible" !!

Is there a way to disable the move animation for desktop icons when Fences is active? I'd much rather have the default Windows-style instant snapping instead. I will do a registry hack anything to stop the move animation when dragging icons around. Help?
