Ok, so I decided to create a new Chatroom, because the old one was getting pretty....old! 

Everyone may post here, as well as in the good'ol Flameroom...I mean, Chatroom

I would like to keep this Chatroom civilized. Well, as civilized as most forum threads are (doesnt mean that you all have to be polite like Oatesy, lol).

So for this reason, I may update the OP of this thread in the future, posting certain thread rules, as I see fit.

Working on a new free release here right now called Avilla. It is being brought over to WB and being completely updated and improved for Windows 7.  Should be released before the end of February! Comments appreciated as always.

I installed win8 on my three computers and have not had more than the typical problems expressed by others. Well my Husband wanted me to install it on his computer … but this time there was a problem. I cannot get to the internet from anywhere besides the win8 start menu, not acceptable to hubbie. Whats the deal with Windowblinds and Firefox 18, I have corrupt titlebars and can't close Firefox at all because the buttons aren't there, even when I exclude it in the Wiindowblinds settings the problem is still there.

 

EDIT: it's also happening with Thunderbird, even though it's excluded too.

I have Desktop X 3 Pro and have an issue with the scripting window. The header is there with the drop downs, so is the footer; however, the actual scripting window is completely grayed out and I can't do anything with it. if anyone can assist with a solution or reason why this is happening I would greatly appreciate it.

 Ticket ID: LOK-902-60306

 

Using public version of Fences for over a year now with no problems.  Decided to pay for the upgrade to 2.0 to support the developers, but can't get the program to register at all.  Opened ticket listed above two days ago with no response (other than automated message), and in the meantime I get the registration nag screen popping up all day long.

When Fences is installed on Windows 7, the Desktop (Explorer) crashes several times.  Eventually Fences turns itself off. 

I've updated to the most recent nVidia drivers for the 8800 GTS but with no success.

The event log shows the following crash information:

Page switch shortcut problem

Hello,

all modern multi-desktop sofwares offer a shortcut (often Alt-1,2,3,4 of F1, F2...) to switch from one page to another.

These shortcuts work even when the desktop is not selected !

 

With Fences 2.0, the desktop has to be selected, this is very anoying and a wast of time (I first need to reduce all windows, selecte the desktop, then I can use the shortcut....).

I find Fences extremely usefull and beautiful... but this missing global shortcut is for me a reason not to u...

This bug has been reported a long time ago, however I'm still suffering issues.

When you are running multiple graphics cards, your windows will become invisible when you move them IF and ONLY IF the window move was initiated on a monitor running on a non-primary graphics card.

Bug confirmed on a separate machine with a different hardware configure.  It seems to be universal.

This, really, is a PITA.  Is there going to be any fix for this?

This may have been asked before, but since I just purchased a new laptop with Windows 8 on it, what Object Desktop apps (besides the obvious, Start 8, Decor 8, and Deskscapes), are compatible and can be used on this new OS? Does Stardock intend to make all their software compatible with Windows 8? Is Windowblinds going to be usable on it if it isn't already?

3 months ago I started in a new job as a delivery/courier driver, and it has kept me way too busy to keep track of anything going on in the world of skinning.

Now that I decided to change the look of my desktop and after a long time of using the same skin, I found that with many of the new skins I am having a problem with the right click in Total Commander.

To ilustrate my problem, here are these screenshots, first with one that works with no problems.
