Ok, so I decided to create a new Chatroom, because the old one was getting pretty....old! 

Everyone may post here, as well as in the good'ol Flameroom...I mean, Chatroom

I would like to keep this Chatroom civilized. Well, as civilized as most forum threads are (doesnt mean that you all have to be polite like Oatesy, lol).

So for this reason, I may update the OP of this thread in the future, posting certain thread rules, as I see fit.

This is just a suggestion......It would be nice to see a glassy style theme.....I have in mind a futuristic city of crystal.......a diamond city with elements of transparent gold.......may not interest anyone but it sounds promising........

While I´m at it.

"The Cloud" -The new technology that "Sucks up" all the info that it can and that  isn´t especially blocked ( so they say at least ), and stores it for whatever purpouses it might have.

Are You / Should We worry ??

There was something called "SkyNet" in the Terminator movies. -Yes that´s Science Fiction, but could something similar be the future

I know this has been asked before but I have deskscapes as my only Stardock product. I also run Windows 8.1. My problem is I can't move my folders around or drag files into them either. Is there a fix for this?

It seems that HP agrees that the Win8 UI is problematic.

Sure, MS is rumored to be perhaps thinking about maybe bringing the start button back.  I wonder if this might open their eyes a bit.

Hi folks.....I have noticed a trend toward minimalism and away from the glass when it comes to skinning. I admit that I am missing the glass type skins and would like to see more.....but then again perhaps there's a limit on what one can do design wise.....Neverthless I do appreciate the time that skinners take to create and design their skins.......Thank You!!!!

Have installed Fences on Windows 8.

Tried it on a laptop I tried Windows 8 out on a week or so ago, and now have put it on a Windows 8 Pro (x64) install...

On laptop Fences behaved fine. Well, it behaves fine on the Windows 8 Pro on my main computer BUT it takes about 15 seconds to load after windows finishes loading. I have no desktop Icons until Fences finally loads (or perhaps loads straight away but nothing shows for 15 seconds or so). The machine boots in about 5 seconds or so, so its...

Hi,

As the title says I need activation reset please (Start8). I have reached my limit again since I've been having problems with my pc and had to reinstall windows. It's unfortunate that I can't use sig.bin on a newly installed system but then again you guys give fast support. Thanks in advance. Cheers

I have been testing a lot of Win 8 PC's lately and I always install Start8 and when I format and reinstall Windows I thought it would have known I had already activated Start8 previously, but it now says I have activated it too many times, can I have it reset?

Hi

After using it for one month with Windows 8.1 I finally decided to uninstall it.

Reason 1: From time to time, some icons simply dissapear
Reason 2: Whenever some game launch in non native screen resolution, few icons are "kicked out" from fence window.
Which was forcing me to re-adding em in appropriate fence non stop

Than I uninstalled Fences and now 70% of icons are blank and I need to re-set em again.

So I reverted back to trusty Iconoid (Like I had in in Win 7) and now my ic...

How do I force Fences to put my Steam games shortcuts into my games fence?

 

It wants to keep putting them into my inernet links fence instead of my games fence.

Quick question about the EULA for Fences version 1.01.143.  

Am I allowed to install this on a corporate machine without purchasing a license?  This version had a paid for and standard settings.  If you wanted the additional features (which I did not) you needed to purchase a license.  Here is the EULA that came with my version (C:\Program Files\Stardock\Fence\eula.txt).  This EULA says nothing about installation for corporate/enterprise machines.  Are these EULA...
