A new update for WindowBlinds 7 has been released today.  WindowBlinds lets you change the look and feel of the Windows user interface with thousands of skins that are available from sites like WinCustomize.com.

This is a maintenance update with various fixes included:

Hi.

 

I'm having a serious issue with Deskscape8 who doesn't work at all.

 

I have an almost freshly new win7 64, but it won't work.

The app is installed and can be launched, but there's no way to apply a wallpaper, animated or not.

 

However, it is a bit strange, because it is as if something prevented deskscape to work. Because at Windows startup, when everything is loading, he shows an animated wallpaper for 3-4 seconds, and then the applica...

I installed WindowBlinds 8 Beta yesterday and ran into these issues:

 

Logitech Gaming Software will not load under any condition while WindowBlinds is running

 

Google Chrome Browser crashes universally, any webpages in their respective tabs will not load (state crashed)

 

Once I had uninstalled WindowBlinds the Chrome Browser worked perfectly fine and I had to unload WindowBlinds to get Logitech Software to work.

Can't find Internet!

Got an email indicating Windowblinds 8 Beta was available, so I downloaded it and tried to install it.

It opened a box asking me for my email address and password -- which I provided, but then I got an error message saying it couldn't connect to the Internet!

The task bar clearly showed the icon for network connection, so I opened IE 10 -- and confirmed I could connect to this site.

I was able to work around this by providing the serial number (which I got from my profile on this si...

Can anyone tell me what the problem is with the site? It's been like this all day. Cleared cookies...rebooted...still the same. Haven't installed or removed anything from my computer...no changes at all. And every once in awhile when I come to the site I find myself logged out as well. This is what I see now on the site.....

I had a major issue with Fences(2.0) and I had to uninstall it in order to run my computer properly. It was interfering majorly with my Windows Explorer, causing my computer to crash. Anyways after i'd uninstalled it I am now unable or unsure how to go about re installing it, at least without buying it again.

Is there anyway to verify my email/account etc. so that I can re download and re install fences.

The game I am going to use as an example is Diablo 3. For those of you who are not aware, Blizzard put a real money auction house in to the game where they take a 15% cut on all money cashed out of the system and an extra 15% cut on any commodity transactions in the game (also $1 on all transactions). This is within a game designed around addictive tendencies, where the goal is to get people to play a 10 hour game for hundreds of hours through loot and numbers greed as mobs with ever higher numb...

I'm sure this has been reported/discussed, but I can't find it.

 

I have Fences running on Windows 8. I cannot move icons within a fence, to or from a fence, all icons seem to be locked.

I can go to the Desktop Directory and move the icons.

But as far as dragging an icon within a fence, can't do it.

 

Windows 8 Pro 64 bit.

Note: Current beta is only for active Object Desktop subscribers.  Info about upgrades for current WindowBlinds (non-Object Desktop) customers will be available at a later date.

The reveal and specs for the new Xbox, dubbed "Xbox One" came out today.

Features:

- 100W 40nm AMD Jaguar based 8-core CPU/GPU, "tailored for DirectX 11.1"

- 8 GB Ram, though DDR3 instead of GDDR5

I created a ticket [#ILM-417-69470] on 27 February 2013 with the following content:




"Windows 8 Pro, with Media Center Pack, with Fence 2.09 


Problem: when I play a video dream (wmv format), click the right corner of task-bar to show desktop will cause Fence in the desktop to disappear or flick, and will cause the right mouse click on desktop to stop working ( cannot show context menu). However, if I restore any window, the problem disappear.

When i run ObjectDock 2.1 on my Windows 8 PC the bars are SLOW when mousing over then when i drag an icon to the bar it takes forever to pop on the bar. when i clikc an icon it recats like the computer is under full load i cant play any games with it loaded. but as soo as i unload the program my pc works liek a top again.

i posted a ticket but have not got any help from support yet. but its only been a few days. so i thought i woudl post here to see if anyone eles is having thew same issues w...

I am interested in getting a second ODNT subscription.  I installed the software on my GF's new machine so she could try it out.  She loves lots ofthe modules.  So I woudl liek to add another sub to my account.  Is there a discount for a second sub and what is the procedure for adding the second sub to my account.

3D Printing seems to have crossed a major mile stone in that a start-up, called Defense Distributed, has used a 3D printer to create a working gun. It’s still mostly a curiosity since the cost to make such a gun and that it isn’t yet very robust still keeps it firmly in the early adopter era.

So here’s what I’ve found out so far :

No matter which printer you get, the materials for it are currently over $100 a pound. To me, that makes it fairly impractical for most uses. I could imagine...

Received email announcing Objectdock 2.1 but looking at the Stardock Central Installer, the only thing that shows available for download is Objectdock plus version 1.90.  Are they different products, interested since I'm using windows 8 and the 2.1 version says it supports it, not sure about the 1.90 version.
