Since WC has a Winstep library, can Winstep themes be sold here? If you're a Master, that is? Or would that be a copyright thing?

Things have been a bit quiet on the WC forums of late so I'm hoping we can all get a new game rolling to help liven things up a bit... a bit of fun, if you like,  The idea is the replace the 'blanks' with one or two words to make a funny [or not] sentence.

eg: starkers got so blank last night while reading a Mills and Boon novel his blank got brewers droop.

The last 2 times I updated my Win 10, it messed up the fences I set up. I have 3 screens and have fences on all 3. When the update finishees and reboots my computer, all the fences end up on one screen and I need to sort through them to get them back to where they were.

Is there a cure for that?

Hi. I got Fences thru Humble Bundle. To be honest I'm not a fan but I got it so I use it. (I bought ObjectDock tho')

My request: Items inside fences and portals open with one click. I've seen other post with the same request but it was ignored and locked. Is it possible? Thanks for your response.

When it comes to protecting my windows computer from malicious software, as well as my own identity when shopping online, i take antivirus protection quite seriously.

I've used various antivirus products over the years including Trend Micro, AVAST, AVG, Norton etc and I found them all great in their own ways. Norton was a bit slow, but it seemed to protect my PC quite well.

I was using Fences for a few days with no trouble.   After using a Folder Portal and doing some sorting, I noticed I could no longer roll up any of my fences or my folder portal.  I also can no longer delete, move or resize any fences.  They can still be rolled up by right clicking and going to views, but it's inconvenient.

I tried restarting my computer, and even tried uninstalling Fences, restarting my computer, then reinstalling Fences - unfortunately, when you reinstal...

Hello Ya'll!

Would it possible to have the "details" view for regular desktop fences?

I see that it is available for folder portals, but I don't see it as an option for regular desktop fences.

I understand that I could make a folder portal for the desktop folder, but then I lose the auto sorting options that regular fences have.

This wasn't the case with older versions of fences or on my windows 7 machine. But on windows 10, the horizontal spacing between icons on list view is so bad. I have tried every single setting and i can't find one to make it better. Anything i can do?

Ok, here's my problem......

 

Upon emptying the recycle bin, the windows 10 recycle bin refreshes.

The DesktopX recycle bin refreshes.

The Icon Packager recycle bin only refreshes if I click the desktop after dumping it..

 

What gives? A retired app works correctly, but an ongoing, still supported app does not?

So, I've had this issue forever now.

When using the wobbly windows effect the taskbar, desktop icons and fences are flickering like crazy.

It's literally unusable.

 

I made a video showing the issue.



 

Everything else is working fine. But the problem with the flickering when using wobbly effetcs is really persistent. I've reinstalled windows, graphics drivers and windowfx a few times. Not specificly to fix this issue, just regular reinstalling from time to time an...

I noticed that Fences drawers follow the DEFAULT monitor on multi-monitor systems. Of course it is possible to restore my configuration from Snapshot Backup, however, it makes more sense to have Fences map the monitor itself rather than follow Windows default.

In my case I have to switch monitors because I run two at different resolutions. As mentioned in other posts, the whole set up will be lost everytime I change a the DEFAULT monitor.

I saw some topics related to multi monitor support and while this issue might be related, none of the ones I saw mentioned the problem I'm having.

The problem is that every now and then all fences jump over to my main monitor, leaving my secondary monitor empty. Not that big of a problem as you'd think I could just restore it from a snapshot, right? Well, not really. That's a bit like a lottery, as it only sometimes restores them properly. Hello, I went to modify my fences and noticed that when i right click on the desktop area all the fences options are gone (I last modified my fences in February). Fences are working as intended, but i can no more modify, or create them. I tried updating, but i'm up to date, i tried going into the menus, and i saw that Create, rename and modify fences on the home tab are coloured black. Any ideas on how to take back control of my fences? (I have bought the software through humble bundle...

I have spent several hours over the last three months trying to get answers to issues I had with this "fences"

One problem after another

The loss of the icons , was my first issue they all end up bunched on one of my screens, many others have posted on this.

However i have not seen a good answer.

The suggestions I do not think are coming from the stardock staff. However the last straw was a simple issue , one would think, the need to change your email address.

No satifactory answe...
