Some Apps don't skin
So I have a question:
is there a posibility for thunderbird, skype, media player classic and miranda IM to set it uses default aero theme?
I installed wb's and everything skins normally but those apps except thunderbird (which has skinning issues by itself) have default classic windows style of currently applied skin.
When there is no skin applied they function normally with aero skinng, but there seems to be no possibility to set aero skin only for those 4-5 apps since th...![]()

As we get more connected online, the haters of the world become more empowered. I am often astonished at some of the brazen behavior I see in comments and on forums by people who, one assumes, are functioning people in real life.

New skins on old version of WindowBlinds?
Hello everyone,
I'm managing an old computer for someone wich is still running Windows 98 and I want to give an updated look. I found a nice skin I would like to use, but before I start I would like to know if it is compatible. It's a rather new skin, so will it work on WindowBlinds 4.6 (wich I believe is the last version that will work on Windows 98). Are there any issues I can expect?

Can we get more to grab?
When trying to resize a fence it seems there is only about 1 pixel wide that we have to move the mouse into in order to get a drag cursor. It would be great if I did not have to try 10 times to get a hold of the edge to resize the fence.![]()

Settings backup
I would like to backup my settings to Dropbox or SkyDrive automatically instead of digging down into the folders and finding my custom settings. Could the option to automatically backup settings for FX, Deskscapes, etc, to the cloud be implemented soon?![]()

Hybrid grid solar arrays are tougher than they seem
So I have a 20KW solar array. Love it. But it has one big problem for me that is surprisingly hard/expensive to solve: If the grid power goes off, so does the solar array.
That’s because the solar array feeds into the grid with me taking what I need first. But if the grid isn’t up, the solar array has to shut down because it is no longer connected to the “circuit”. Besides that, you wouldn’t want to run your house where the power could go on and off randomly based on cloud...![]()

Download wallpaper daily
Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere, please feel free to point me in the right direction.
I want to be able to get a random desktop wallpaper daily. If possible without the need to manually download them first. But even if I can download a couple of month worth of wallpapers in one go so that they change automatically it would do as well.
Is there any way to achieve this with Object Desktop? I know that you can let it cycle the wallpapers, but I can't find a way to let...![]()

Need help installing an mpeg 2 decoder
I have the media center plugin installed and powerdvd 12 ultra installed but I still cannot use mpeg-2 files for dreams. What do I need to do to get this working? I thought both of these packages would have the codec needed...![]()

when clicked on the show desktop icon on the bottom right, it causes the desktop shortcuts to disappear. only if there is a window open and you restore it, the icons get back to the desktop. also, right after installation, icons and shortcuts remain fixed

Deskscapes 8 and peek not working
I have recently installed Deskscapes 8 from the Stardock Central application after purchasing it as a stand alone product. Much like the previous versions, I like it quite a bit, but unfortunately I find I cannot use the peek utility in Windows 8 to return to the desktop. I am running Windows 8 Pro with Media Center (64-bit), and utilize a dual Radeon 6950 setup with Catalyst version 13.2.

Favorite classic films
Someone had suggested doing a Friday 5 type thing on classic films. I've not done the Friday 5 thing before so can't tell if I'm doing it correctly or not, but regardless, I'm going to put up a chance for others to tell me what their favorite classic films are. You can list 5, or 10, or 1 or 3, I don't really care what number you want to list. The only real requirement I would place on things is that if you are going to label something a classic it needs to be more than 20 year...![]()
