When I start Windows 10 the desktop icons and fences fail to materialise until I right click the mouse button?

If I uninstall fences the desktop icons install with no problem?

Does anybody know how to fix this?

I've just purchased Fences version 3.0 and installed it 'over the top' of an existing Fences 2 installation on a Windows 7 Enterprise x64 laptop.

I've noticed that the folder icon which denotes a folder portal is now displaced a few pixels down from where it should be. See this screenshot for an example.

It's not a huge problem, it just look a bit odd.

Can it be fixed?

Dear Stardock

Seems like there is a bug in the latest fences. I have two monitors. The fences move to one screen after I have a remote desktop session with my computer. They dont revert back and I have to manually move the fences back to my other screen.

 

Any ideas?

Rey

How is it that Rey was able to over-power the mighty Kylo Ren during interrogation and defeat him in the end? We could blame the fact Ren was injured at the end but still Rey seems a little over-powered against someone who can stop a laser beam mid flight.

One thing i have learnt about people with over powered abilities is that they are always easily seduced by the dark side to keep that power. 

Anyway, back on point: Finn

I finally upgraded to Win 10 and it went smoothly and pretty fast. I then bought the new Windowblinds 10 because I always have to have that. BUT, after I downloaded Windowblinds and started to install, the user control popped up asking if I wanted to go ahead with it and it didn't have a YES or NO button! It's just blank. I can't install anything and I even went to the master control and said turn it off, but it has the same pop up with no buttons! I can't change anything. Can so...

Hey Stardock community,

I am having an issue with Fences 3. When shutting down and turning my PC back on the fences folders automatically go to the left monitor. On a reboot they are put on the right monitor where they are supposed to go. 

This only happens when the machine is completely shut down. We are running a 4 monitor setup using some USB to VGA/DVI adapters. We have already tried reinstalling the software, tried every "Layout auto-adjustments" setting, deleted snapshots and re...

Hello. I am trying to replace my taskbar with object dock and there is only one thing missing. On my taskbar I have several folders and libraries pinned to the file explorer icon for quick access. I have tried to recreate this with stacks and the fly out menu but it doesn't work quite right, they are both slower than the jump list and require more mouse movement to make a selection. Does anyone have any ideas or could this be added as an option to the flyout menu for just a vertical list of ...

These two programs don't quite behave with each-other, and one either ends up on top of one another.
Is there a way to order Rainmeter to be in front of specific applications, such a fences?
Or vice versa?

Have installed Fences on Windows 8.

Tried it on a laptop I tried Windows 8 out on a week or so ago, and now have put it on a Windows 8 Pro (x64) install...

On laptop Fences behaved fine. Well, it behaves fine on the Windows 8 Pro on my main computer BUT it takes about 15 seconds to load after windows finishes loading. I have no desktop Icons until Fences finally loads (or perhaps loads straight away but nothing shows for 15 seconds or so). The machine boots in about 5 seconds or so, so its...

Hello.
I have a problem with fences 2 and 3 on Windows 10 fresh install.
Fences are loaded 5-10-15 seconds after desktop is shown during startup.
Another problem is that icons which are on the desktop but not in fences also are not shown before fences would load.

I bought a new monitor with IPS panel and LED backlighting (HP EliteDisplay E242). Picture quality is very nice. Picture also seems stable without flickering. However my eyes became tired. I lowered brightness and contrast, but it didn't really help.After less than a month a decided to go back to my washed out (colors) TN panel. It also has the old CCFL backlighting.IPS probably gives the best picture, but I also noticed on my IPS tablet that this display type is not compatible with my eyes....

Hello,

I recently started using Fences, and it's been very useful in cleaning up my desktop. I prefer a minimalist desktop, and Windows alone makes that very hard to do... Still, there are a couple things I feel are missing from Fences and I think they would be nice additions.

1. The ability to hide the names/labels of icons. In one Fence, I keep icons of tools I use often. I can recognize these by icon, and would like to hide their names to make things cleaner looking.
