So I have a question:

is there a posibility for thunderbird, skype, media player classic and miranda IM to set it uses default aero theme?

 

I installed wb's and everything skins normally but those apps except thunderbird (which has skinning issues by itself) have default classic windows style of currently applied skin.

When there is no skin applied they function normally with aero skinng, but there seems to be no possibility to set aero skin only for those 4-5 apps since th...

When I change my display settings, my fences all shift to a different monitor. It's a pain dragging them back to the correct one, one by one.

What's strange is that I can middle-click drag (or move my mouse to the edge of the screen and drag) and all the fences move together. But they don't stick. They just snap back to their original position when I'm done dragging. Or they disappear, and I have to double click on the screen to get them to sap back.

OK, I am new here, and have spent some time trawling the forums, but cannot find my answer.......

 

I am running windows 8.1 Pro 64

Installed deskscape 8.1 trial

 

Everything went to plan and everything seems to work perfectly........... except

 

I cannot drag any icons around on my desktop.  A rather large circle with a line through it appears when I try to do so.  It is certainly not a windows icon.  I can open desktop folders and double click...

I purchased Elemental: Fallen Enchantress as a one-time purchase through Steam.  I created and validated my Stardock account in order to register the game, however when I attempt to register it I get the error message:

"The activation program could not communicate with the server.

This may be caused by a firewall blocking Internet access, please check your settings and network permissions."

I disabled ZoneAlarm, AVG antivirus, and Windows SmartScreen.  I also bypassed my route...

Hello, first post and everything.

I was really into the desktop customization scene several years ago, but drifted away from it. Now I'm back and most of the old places seem like ghost towns. I was  thinking about renewing my object desktop sub but am wondering if Stardock is still actively developing the software or engaging with the community.

Also does anyone have any good sites for desktop customization?

This is a fantastic program which I use to arrange both my work and private life. There are a couple of things which would improve it for me - although maybe I'm the only one.

- The ability to add notes. I currently have a Windows 7 sticky note below each fence where I had notes and to do relevant to the fenced files; but it would be nice to have something embedded.

- It would also be great to be able to synchronise the fences between my home and work PC; currently I screen dump every ...

Good day people,

 

My problem: a black pixel in the middle of my desktop screen.

Analysis: I've a DELL U2410 monitor for years now with no problems. Having noticed a black pixel right in the middle of the screen over my background. I move my course and icons over this pixel and no reaction. I open up the web browser and the black pixel is stuck there ( over white website). However, when i open up paint program or full screen application, this dead pixel disappears!

Okay, so I started the 100 Greatest Movies of the Last 25 Years, but it was too long and tedious, so I deleted it. Instead, I'll stick to smaller, simpler lists. I'll add to this initial post as I come up with more requests/ideas. Please enjoy the ideas and get the best use fro them.

I’m giving the Xbox Music app on Windows 8 a go this week, and after a day of using it as a regular Modern app, there is no doubt that using it with ModernMix is a much better experience.  I’m playing different music and setting up a variety of playlists, and having Xbox Music in its own windows on the desktop is far easier than going back and forth to the start screen.
