my favorite mod is ghost mode, and lately my docklets are moving with trails behind them when in ghost mode, so that the docklets look indistinct. when i unclick ghost mode, they are clear and sharp again. i have used ghost mode for a long, long time. so i would like to use it again. what can be done to fix this problem? thanks!![]()

Windowblinds causing taskbar to lock up in Windows 8.1
So I've had this problem for months now, been back and forth with Stardock technical support and nothing they suggest seems to fix it. I've used Windowblinds for years and apart from one issue with UAC a few years ago I've never had any big problems with it. But at the end of my tether I've disabled it this morning as I simply cannot fix this issue.

Steam OS password
I have searched the steam helps library and found no help. My PC logs me into steam automatically. However, I need to log in from another site (humble bundle) to install some software. When I attempt to do so, HB opens a dialog box, asking me to log into steam. This dialog box requires a password for stream. I don't know the password. Custom image "pick image..." button not working anymore
The problem is :
The option under Inactive Windows tab, the combo box option "the darkened area should be a custom image" displays a "Pick Image" button, which worked 2 times, once I tried a 3rd image it just stopped working, it displays nothing on the background and doesn't lets me choose another image even if the button is still enabled.
Requesting : Any way to reset/restore settings (tried to find it on the registry but failed).

Very Short Star Wars question
This may seem strange, but yesterday was the first time I had re-seen Star Wars (the original, I mean, with Mark Hamill, SIR Alec Guiness, etc.) in about 20 years. Some Dreams don't work at all.
Why do some dreams (e.g Sandbar, Bars, Matrixrainish, Early Morning) result in a black screen with no animation at all? If the Dream resolution is larger than the screen resolution will the Dream fail or will it be adjusted with a new screen ratio?. I think the latter is correct since some dreams look like they are fitted to a different screen ratio.![]()

Icons Won't Stay Put
I love Fences but I'm having a problem I can't seem to fix. Whenever I change/lower my desktop resolution (usually to play on old PC game) and return back to my normal, higher resolution the icons inside and outside of the Fences I created are scrambled. I've tried all of the settings under 'Layout features and snapshots' but nothing works. The only way I can return the icons to normal is to 'Restore Snapshot'. Why Neowin is down
Neowin is an excellent site for many different reasons. It often summarizes news for me and gives me the site for the OP. Also, the software reviews (while a bit shallow at times) give me ideas for stuff to look at for you guys.
As you might also know, Brad helped Neowin get on it’s feet.

I am using WindowBlinds 8.02 on Windows 8.1 Pro.
I just upgraded to the v32 (recent) release of Chrome. After upgrading, I noticed that Chrome has started to consume rather excessive amounts of RAM (the ever increasing RAM usage can be observed in the Task Manager, while the browser is relatively idle). In a matter of a few minutes, one of Chrome's processes would peak at ~3.3GB of RAM, at which point the browser would freeze, requiring me to terminate its processes.

Oh man. Six more weeks of it.
Well, I can't say I'm happy about this.
Punxy Phil the Groundhog saw his shadow...so, the prediction is that we're going to have six weeks more of the wintery weather.
The only possible save is that he's only been 39% accurate in the past.
Of course, today we're getting snow and colder weather for the coming week. Great.

SkyDrive to Become OneDrive
I’ve really gotten to like SkyDrive, so much in fact that I use it way more than Dropbox now. The integration with Windows 8 and other devices such as Windows Phone and Surface are also a big reason for that. There’s been an ongoing trademark dispute between Microsoft and BSkyB in which Microsoft agreed to change the SkyDrive name. They revealed this week that the new branding will be ‘OneDrive’.
