Boy i have missed you guys.Things are a lot better for my husband myself these days.We both still have health issues .But as long as we follow drs orders and stick to them we will be fine.It put a big dent in the budget and he had to cut back on hours worked.

 

Just happy to be alive and kicking.Have  a little more time for myself now.I can do some of the things i missed like visiting here.So i am back and intend to get here more often.

Remember My Colors? Stardock Corporation had four sets for each season. I just noticed I'm missing the icons for the 'Spring' theme set. I don't use My Colors, but install the Windowblind from time to time. I've been changing my theme daily since 2001 and still use many older ones! I have been using deskscape for a while and enjoyed the animations, but once anyone has played and closed a game while in full screen

the wallpaper animation stops so I try to re apply the wallpaper animation and it says that the dwm has stopped working so I need to restart the computer

so I do that and it starts working again, until you get on a game. if this is a bug please fix it, iv already uninstalled it waiting for a new update.

my computer is brand new and nothing's...

I have the latest OD build, and all appears normal. However, I have downloaded several icon packs from Win Customize, placed them (pngs) in the OD icon directories, but they never show up in a selection when I edit a dock entry. Is there something I need to do to get OD to recognize the additional pngs in it icon directories?

hey guys, hope there are some SkinStudio wizards in here!

 

My problem is when I click the calendar on the Windows 7 taskbar, it would normally popup and I'd be able to see the month and all the dates etc, standard stuff. But the skin I've installed has made the calendar background black as well as the text for the days in the active month, so I can't actually see them unless I hover over each one. Anyone got a clue where I can find the calendar in SkinStudio to try and fi...

There’s a show on National Geographic called “Doomsday Preppers”. I’ve never watched it. But I have read a number of blogs from people on the subject and I’ve become convinced that most people, even those into “prepping”, haven’t thought through what would be the likely, and even predictable, steps our society would take as it self-destructed.

The doomsday scenarios I have seen discussed revolve around one of the topics below:

in windows 8 task manager will show harddrive usage increase when moving mouse around desktop screen. climbs to 80% and drops as soon as mouse stops.

 

it only happens on the desktop. not over windows

 

disable fences and move mouse around desktop screen and problem doesn't show.

 

enable fences again and move mouse around desktop screen and disk usage appears.

 

using a logitech g5 mouse.

I like the quick-hide feature but when I am sharing my desktop with a customer I would like to be able to only certain fences.  

 

A "hide" button could be added to the fence, the popup menu when right-clicking anywhere on the desktop would have an option to "restore" the hidden fences.
