Well, I didn’t buy W8, and am not using it, but there are folks here who do so, “This Bud’s for you!”.

One of W8’s features is an amazingly rapid boot. Actually, it’s a “hybrid boot”: a cross between hibernation and booting.

Windows 8.1 is scheduled to bring the Start button back to the Windows 8 desktop. However, it will not include the Start menu. Instead, it’ll simply transport the user out of the desktop and back into the Metro Start screen environment.  This is a mistake.

I realize that there lots of people out there who like the Start screen metaphor.  And we can argue whether the Start screen is a more productive environment than the traditional desktop until the end of time.  However, wha...

I am evaluating a trial version of Fences 2.10. So far I like it very much. However, I created a fence yesterday where the title bar ended up off screen, for some reason. I can't move or delete the fence. I played with my screen resolution, as I think I saw in an other forum message, in an attempt to force the fence back on screen, but this was unsuccessful.

How can I delete or move this fence?

Hi,

I just downloaded the WB Beta for Windows 8.

Norton detects a Virus / Malware or whatever it should be called "WS.Reputation.1" and the file gets autoamtically deleted.

I downloaded from the official Stardock link I got by email from them for the beta.

I am looking to get a tablet that will works as a e-reader also.

Most of my friends have to Nook HD but, with all the talk of the demise of the BN Nook division at the end of 2014 would it really make sense to buy one now?

Any one have any suggestions?

WB v.7.98 made the title buttons invisible in outlook 2010. Just this program is affected. Ie10 has messed up title bar if links are  clicked in outlook IF outlook is on exclusion list.

 

Was fine in version 7.95. I have pic, but do not know how to embed in post.

We have released an update for the WindowBlinds 8 beta (v7.98 in app).  Current customers can download the update from their Stardock accounts or via Stardock Central.

If you have been using the free trial, you will need to request a new download link from here.

Fences is forcing Explore to crash on a fairly fresh Windows 7 system.  After 3 times Fences realizes it's probably the cause and shuts itself down which resolves the problem as does uninstalling the application.   

It took me a while to find a solution for this as one is not available on Stardock's website yet I know they have known about it for sometime now.

I placed my order for Object Desktop, Tweak 7 and Objectdock Plus v2 last Saturday. I was advised that it would take up to 2 working days to process the order. Well it's now another weekend and still when I log on it says I have no orders and strangely the shopping cart still says I have 3 items in it despite receiving an order confirming the order and giving me an order number 2171806.

Can someone from Stardock please look into this as I am getting concerned.

Yesterday I stood up till 5 in the morning just to watch all of the E3 live streams.

OK, the 7/8 fonts section does not work at all in Windows 7 or 8 in a LOT of skins, cannot even reset the area to default fonts.

What the heck is this "Old close button" addition in the Tree/Tooltips area? It says it's for IE7?  IE7 is ancient.

How about including images in the help section of new (and even some old) items and a better explanation of what the image does?

Sure would have been nice if you would have made the new SkinStudio pinnable to the taskbar too.
