Security red flag: password length limit

While purchasing Start8 and creating a Stardock account, I was shocked that passwords are limited to only 12 characters. This is a pretty big red flag that passwords are not being handled and stored correctly behind the scenes. If the passwords were being stored as salted, one-way hashes behind the scenes, there would be no need for you to limit the length. If you're not already doing it this way, please begin working on it ASAP.
