I have been discovering lots of really good Windows 8 modern apps lately.  This is especially true now that I can use them in a window on my desktop with ModernMix.

I listed 3 of my favorites here, but I'd like to hear what others have found and are using.

I dislike toolbars and their propensity to track you and who knows what else.

I renewed my Object Desktop subscription several hours ago. I got a receipt and an email telling me how to download, but Stardock Central does not see my renewed subscription and it is not listed in my downloads...though two expired Object Desktop subscriptions are.

I have not received responses to my support inquiries nor my phone calls.

I am trying to refrain from saying anything negative...but I need to say that this exact same problem happened to me twice before ad was the reason I let...

I am not sure where to post this , so if its in the wrong place hopefully a Mod will put it where it needs to be , then let me know where it was put

I've got actual version of Fences pro running on Windows 7 Pro. Everything is workin as expected except when I'm using MS Office Applications.

e.g. EXCEL files placed within a fence jump out every time, I save them. Off course I'v configured new icons to go to the desktop. And technically these icons are new, since office deletes the original file and recreates the icon from a temp file with the original name. But I would like these icons to stay within the fence I've placed t...

Wondering if it is possible to actually view my Fenced-in icons with a Detailed View folder option? If it is, then I might also be able to organize them by modified date, too. I am hoping there is a way to see them in detailed view and not just icon.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Editing and post with any sort of tag is busted, I can't even edit a post with a quote without making a double post. Also, moving text in around seems to change the font or the size, and I don't even want to look at which for fear of making more double posts.

Can we please fix this?

I purchased OD over 48 hours ago, and still have not received the software, registration, or anything!!!!! After 24 hours of not receiving anything, not even a purchase receipt, I sent an email to support. That was 24 hours ago, and still haven't heard a thing yet!!!!! What is going on there?????????? Are you people on strike or what?????? I purchase tons of software on the internet, NEVER have to wait more than 10 or 15 minutes to get what I paid for, but with you people, 48 hours and ...

just got alienware x51 pre-loaded with windows8, tried to install windows 7 so i can use windowblinds but no luck.

 

hope the prob is sorted soon coz i need textures on my taskbar   lol

If you make a fence from a directory and make the view for the fence 'List' it does what it is supposed to.

If you then resize your screen resolution the view for that fence changes to 'Details'.

Hope this can be fixed as I use fences a lot in list view and also have to change my resolutions quite often.

EDIT:

This is still broken in beta 2.1

After eons of waiting...and leaving an open link to Ticketek for about 2 weeks....

...ignoring the 'offer' of best available as out-the-back-of-the-stage-by-the-dunny....

....I scored 4 tickets...and in a decent spot.

I've seen Pink Floyd from 6 rows back ... Waters at least 3 other times.... Purple twice.... even King Crimson [in Rome] ages ago....but 'Black' was a 'colour' I'd missed....til now...
