As can be seen from the pic, my survey ship collects influence. However, this does not displays anyhow. I mean, at that point I only had a single planet and the influence of that planet did not grow. I checked on several occasions. So how my collected influence improve something/show up?

WindowBlinds limitations
Whist trying to make a theme that looks as close to Windows 7 Aero as possible (for my own purpose only) I have found many problems with Window Blinds where it cannot do what Windows' own theme engine can.

Thanks for the Handles heads up in last newsletter
After reading Brads last newsletter about excessive handles, I checked task manager and was shocked to see over 200,000 - dwm.exe had over 100,000 alone. Before reading about it I must admit I had not paid handle usage any attention at all. Now I am aware, I can't look into tracking down the excessive use culprit.![]()

Has the Icon package creation process changed?

Has anything changed with the process of creating an icon package? Just curious as there hasn't been a new icon package for almost a year.
Are there any tutorials for creating a full, complete Win10 Icon set?

Spawing applications from Visual Studio
I am running Visual Studio 2017 in dark theme.
I have to switch off the blinds software before starting it. But then I switch it back on.
I have set up an exception for devenv.exe to not skin. So VS looks fine.
But i also set it to span other applications without WB skinning or the default skin.
But i find it does not obey my results. When spawned the program is not running with the correct skin.
Please advise.![]()

Fortnite kicks me out of game because of WindowsBlinds

after long time, I wanted to play Fortnite again, but always got kicked with this message:

Google told me, i got an IP Ban for cheating. I was totally irritated, because I never cheated on my PC. After searching many forums, I found one post. WindowsBlinds shall cause that kick. So I uninstalled WindowsBlinds, restarted my PC and joined a Fortnite match. I played a hole round with no kick, till I died. I started another one and ended it w...![]()

Polymorphic and Metamorphic Viruses…why AV Software fails at times.
So…what is a Polymorphic Virus? Quoting the technopedia:

Power problems with my laptop
Having some problems with my laptop. I'll try to describe the issue in detail.
A couple of months ago, I noticed that the ac adapter cord had loosened from the power brick. It still worked fine, but I thought it may be a hazard in the long run. I decided to replace it. Found one on ebay which when arrived appeared to be a genuine Asus product.....ie identical to the original in every way.
Everything seemed fine for a while, but then I left the laptop off for an extended amount of...![]()

Folder not visible in Fences 3.0.8
I have a folder in a Fence that is not visible however the folder exists and can be accessed vile the File Explorer. Running Windows 10 - Fences 3.0.8.1

Fences 3 - Rounded corners not working
I had Fences 2 for years and it was fine. Recently I got a newer high-spec notebook - resolution 3840 x 2160, so needed to upgrade to Fences 3.
The only minor issue I have is that the tweak "Show Fences with rounded corners" doesn't seem to make any difference. Is this a bug for Stardock to sort out or is it due to the hi-res screen ? Ta in Adv.![]()
