Object desktop manager cannot connect to Internet
Object Desktop Manager is unable to connect to the Internet even though there is an active connection and as far as I know there is no blockage in the firewall or any such thing.
Connect to the Internet! Really for a $20 program. Personally I found using this suite of programs frustrating and problematic. Arrange and hold icons inside fence is according to manual sorting
Hello there,
I am not at all interested in generalised sorting of icons on my desktop or inside fences. I like to sort the icons according to my own management system and not have them altered and changed.
Not only are the icons sorted inside fences but also the icons on my desktop but now sorted in some way other than by my place in them in certain positions. I want to organise the icons according to my own criteria and have them kept in that manually adjusted state. I require this condit...![]()

Object.Dock Feature request : Auto-hide : show with slide gesture
Hi,
i like objectdock and would like to use it with my touchs devices.
But at this moment, the auto-hide feature hide well the bar. but i would like to show it then with slide gesture, as the charm bar on windows 8. i must point the mouse touching next to the screen edge but i click by mistake on other things, to show the dock.
Is-this possible ? (i know Start8 allows to deactivate active screen corner so i assumpt that it is possible)

Intro: I think a great addition to the all the options available to us would be to have the ability to:
Idea: Keep a fence permanently rolled up until it is double clicked.
Justification: Currently, when rolled up, the fence automatically unrolls when your mouse goes over it. This is kind distracting when I'm moving my mouse around the desktop. Sometimes, you want to roll up a fence, move the mother somewhere and leave it there where it doesn't do anything until I'm ready to double click i...![]()

So in very first attempts to return to GalCiv, I experienced notable red signs that may not scream, but makes me worry if the game treats me fair. I do not mean to criticize, but at the same time it is very important to be aware of some things that look weird. Here are few examples, perhaps followed by more in the future:
1) Anybody can become a resource god, by improving his previous mining tenfold. You just simply have to research Recovery in a few turns and improve your mining by 1 (!!!)

snapshot of fences failed
HI,
I recently installed Fences 3 on a new windows 10 pc. All seems to be working fine except that it is not capturing a snapshot of the desktop automatically and when I click on Take Snapshot it says "Saving of Snapshot failed" and "XML saving failed"
How can I fix this to enable snapshots of my fences to restore when I need to?

Roll Up Fences
Whenever I roll up a fence the icons don't necessarily roll with it. This does not happen all the time, but once it happens the icons stay there until I reboot.![]()

Questions about the value of OCing your processor.

I currently have my 8700K over clocked to 4.7. This is the 'burst' or turbo speed it runs at when under load. I set the 'resting' state speed at 4.5. I am not sure what the terminology.
Is there a value in pushing the over clock to 4.9 or even 5.0? I am using Corsairs H110i water cooler.
I understand that speed will mean a few frame rates of improvement in game but is it worth it for the extra heat wear the processor will be doing over it...![]()

Darken Background Windows breaks Windows 10 Task View
If I enable the darken background windows feature of WindowFX 6, then go to the 'task view' (Win-Tab) I get trapped in that view and can't get out short of logging off or rebooting.
I like the 'darken background windows' feature especially since I have multiple monitors but I also like the multiple desktops feature of Windows (think Apple Mission Control or Linux) since I tend to keep a lot of windows open and they tend to relate to various tasks.

Not at all what I expected!
I've just bought Fences as I'd played with the demo version and thought it would help keep my desktop the way I want it. Wrong! Who thought it was a good idea NOT to be able to switch OFF auto-arrange within the Fence? That person needs sacking! This is a huge mistake! I was under the impression that Fences allowed us to arrange the desktop the way we want, not the Microsoft way!

Hanging delays (Win 7, 10)
I've noticed a couple of similar complaints of Object Dock, slow/hanging & lag. I currently am using Windows 10 but this 'hanging-lag', which comes after launching an app from Object Dock, or attempting to launch an item with Object Dock not responding, like it's writing to itself or something is just not correct.

Finally figured out sluggish Fences & icons problem
For quite some time I've had the problem where the Fences would expand and contract on a delay. Even hovering over icons on the desktop would be delayed, and clicking to open an application would be delayed, sometimes by 5-10 seconds...
Although this has improved with newer releases of Fences, the problem was still very noticeable and frustrating.
I finally found a solution (at least for me) that makes the Fences and icons respond as they should. Without Fences installed, I don't have the ...![]()
