Hello,

I have installed the newest update of Windows 10 - Creators Update - today and saw, that in a folder portal on my desktop all the entries will be shown as medium icons. Even if I change it to a short list as before, on a restart of my laptop the folder portal sjows the icons. It seems, that my changes will not be saved permanently. 

Is this issue already known?

I am using Windows 10 Home, version 1709 (OS build 16299.192) and Stardock Fences 3.0.5.12

The problem I have, is that Windows does not start up properly. I get a black screen and nothing happens.

When I restart everything seems to be normal and I get the Fences on my screen.

Obviously, this is very annoying and I wonder if anybody can give me an explanation and solution for this behaviour.

Hi,

Yesterday my fences updated to v3.0.7.6. After that, I can't drag and drop icons into, out and among the fences AND from/to the desktop. I created a folder out from all fences and I couldn't drag and drop it into any. Then I realized it happened to all icons already distributed among the fences. I can't move to another fence or put it in the desktop.

 

Is it a bug of this new version or am I missing any configuration?

If you have compatibility issues with WindowBlinds and an application or game, please do let us know in this thread so we can investigate it and hopefully resolve the problem.

Please make sure you are running the latest version of WindowBlinds first and that the problem exists with a theme included with WindowBlinds vs a downloaded one. 

Please provide as much detail as you can, screenshots of the problem, information on the application itself, how to reproduce the problem and if...

It seems there have been some posts on this before, but they didn't help me. So I figured I'd just create another one. I cannot seem to run Dream Maker on my Windows 10 PC. I just installed the app and it won't launch.

All I see, regardless of which compatibility mode I try to run it with, is this:



I've tried running it as admin too, just in case, but nothing works. This is the only app I seem to be able to find, and it's clearly very outdated. Is there anything I can do?

I'm having difficulties making finite adjustments to my individual fence sizes. When adjusting the fence in certain directions it'll "snap" to a larger/smaller size than I'm trying to set it at. Any suggestions?

Sometimes Deskscapes (Windows  7) gets stuck on a dream and then refuses to continue cycling through randomly. If I open Deskscapes and click on Apply to all my monitors, the cycling starts again, but it doesn't start with a random background, but the first one in the list.

The computer never goes to sleep, hybrid sleep is off, it doesn't hibernate either. The hard disk does go off after 20 minutes, the display goes off after 2 hours and the screensaver activates after 15 minutes and dis...

Deskscapes was working great for me but I want to now use it with the high contrast theme. It says something about Desktop Windows Manager is not being used with classic windows or something to that extent. How can I get the high contrast theme to work with Deskscapes video background?

just purchased Deskscapes, and installed. attempted to change my desktops and it doesn't work at all. my current background stays the same, no error message. I do notice that I get the spinning "loading" cursor on my mouse, and in the taskbar a small window appears with the deskscape logo for a split second and then disappears.

i installed the wb on a 64 windows 7 sp 1

and from the beginning the start menu just displays the items on the left with only the user name and documents which cuts off the lower part

anyone else encountered this and is there a fix?

Weird issue;

Fences causes hanging issues when running any programs as administrator. The screen goes blank, showing desktop only with cursor for about 2 min (I have timed it several times). So basically everytime I run a program as admin I have to wait 2 min before it then shows my desktop icons again. Uninstalling and reinstalling Fences or Beta Fences resolves the issue for about an hour but then the problem comes back.

If I uninstall Fences, the problem does not return.

If I disable WindowBlinds, Visual Studio starts fine.
I've excluded devenv.exe - "Ignore this application and don't skin it".  After re-activating WindowsBlinds and rebooting - VS still crashes on launch.

I have 3 children. I love them to pieces.

But dogs? Obviously not in the same league but holy cow there is just something so touching in their unconditional devotion.

Sometimes, especially with the smarter ones, their similarities to small children can be uncanny. For instance, my 6 year old Entlevucher brings her stuffed dinosaur to bed every night, she just sleeps with it.

Who else here feels the same?

I have a User testing Fences 3 and over the last 2 weeks she has had 2 or 3 icons disappear from within Fences.  When she would recreate them they would have a 2 added to the end (ie. - the shortcuts already existed somewhere on her Desktop).  When we opened File Explorer and looked at her Desktop the missing shortcuts and the new ones she created were all listed.

 

I went through every setting in the Fences Menu and found nothing that would cause this issue, nor could I loc...
