I have the same issue on three of my Windows 10 computers (all running latest patched version) that many others have been complaining about since early 2017: when I double-click on a desktop application icon or disk icon (like Local Disk - C) managed by Fences (I'm using the most recent version 3.0.5.12), the application takes 5-10 seconds to start (very slow) or won't launch at all. Major problems with WB 8 on Windows 8.1
Hello! I'm a new customer although I have a fond experience with WindowBlinds.
I today installed Desktop Object onto my laptop and then installed WB 8.
According to the compatibility list in Object Desktop, both WB 8 and 10 would work in 8.1, but since I have Windows 8.1 I decided to go with WB 8 because by namesake that made more sense.
A quick download and install later and everything turns to black. Only the mouse cursor is visible. Nothing happens for several minutes. Then the lock scre...![]()

I got the 30 day trial from WindowBlinds and I love the Windows 8 Theme with Aero Glass on my Windows 10 computer.
The problem is, that WindowBlinds changes the Windows colours in the registry, if I apply the "Default Theme". The text highlight color for example is green, after setting the theme back to default. Then I need to change all the colours manually in the registry...

Fences is very Slow.
I have a very fast computer. But when I click from one icon to the next on my desktop it takes about 2 seconds for each to change. So, if I click on 5 icons it can take 10 seconds to select thru them all. I've been dealing with this for a long time. I I found the Disabled Fences checkbox last week and tested without Fences enabled, and my desktop ran very FAST!! So, something is wrong with Fences.

Icons move between fences after restoring
So when I travel between my office and home, I have two different monitor setups.
Therefore, I have to restore my snapshot.
When I do, icons move between fences.
Appears to be a bug in the software.

So what are your feelings about latest iPhone?
Personally, i would indeed like to have it, it looks mighty fine. Would take it over iPhone 8 for sure, which now looks pretty obsolete. That price though - 1200 EUROs over here... i still use iPhone 5S, which i bought 3 years ago and it cost me 830 EUROs. Already that was expensive...now 3 years later, another 400 more? Where does this end?![]()

May i use Fences 3.0's product key to activate Fences 2.0?
It seems that only can buy Fences 3.0 on the Stardock website.
However, only Fences 2.0 can run my PC successfully.
Fences 3.0 does not work on my PC after I installed and uninstalled and rebooted again and again.
And i am tired to debug this problem.
So may i use Fences 3.0 product key to activate my Fences 2.0?

Fences Rolled Up Create and Leave Horizontal Scrollbar
Fences rolled up create and leave a horizontal scroll bar. When the fence is expanded, there is no scroll bar. Problem persists across cold boots. Not sure if it maters, but these are Folder Portal fences using List view and sort by Name and Allow Navigation. I have an image but can't figure out how to include it. Ever since this todo with Weinstein or whatever his name is, all those allegations of improper behavior has IMO spiraled out of control. I got the new charger for my laptop and opening Chrome with Bing as my new search engine, I saw that Matt Lauer got fired from NBC for the same reason. What the hell does that say for our culture? Two dudes in Thailand bared their butts in front of a Holy Site and were promptly...![]()

Switching from 4K laptop to Dual USB Monitors (1080p) takes very long
This is more of an FYI as I suspect I'm expecting too much from Fences 3.
I have a Thinkpad with 4K screen, Nvidia graphics, 200% scaling. When I plug into a DisplayLink USB Dock and close the laptop, it takes several minutes for the dual 1080p displays to refresh and resize appropriately, with Fences not really resizing appropriately.
Sometimes it hangs for a minute and then restarts the desktop (explorer.exe) program, which resets the windows appropriately (except the scaling...![]()

Fences Startup
Is there any way you can tidy up the way Fences displays at bootup? I have my games icons on a separate desktop and my main fences on my home desktop. When Windows boots, it just throws all the icons in one big jumble on my home screen and I'm forced to look at that mess till the bootup is done and fences moves them where they're supposed to be. If nothing else, switch fences off till the bootup is done, and then move them to the proper locations, and display the desktop?![]()

Windows Explorer crashes because of Fences
After installing Fences 3.03 on Windows 10, every time while showing the desktop (by using Win+D or pressing show desktop button), Windows explorer crashes and then restarts.
We could observe the desktop is re-drawn and sometime there will be a dialog saying Fences cannot be loaded.

Bugs: Fences renaming documents in fences, not moving icons properly
My system is running Windows 10 Enterprise, 1703, and I'm encountering two bugs in the latest version of Fences.
One is that Fences is arbitrarily renaming the titles of some select documents that I have organized in fences, and which I access frequently. The title change is only for the icon description, as when I open the document, the title within Microsoft Word is the proper title. The renamed title is as the name of another icon on my desktop, like it just copied the ...![]()

Fences uses Monitor Identity instead of Main Monitor set on Windows
So I discovered this bug.My system includes 2 monitors, the only 2 differences these monitors have are the refresh rates which should not make any difference.In my case my main monitor set on Windows has identity 2 and my second monitor identity 1. I can't change that. Fences in this case, when it's enabled and a new icon is created seems to use identities for new icons.So when I am saving a file to my desktop, it creates the icon for it on the secondary monitor , on the very left edg...![]()

Looking for an old time Christmas theme
Every couple years I decide I want to run a particular theme, and every time I try to find it in the tons of old downloads and customizations I can't find it. It is a Christmas/Yule type thing. A branch and Christmas ornaments. I spend hours exploring them and moving them around to get them just right. I usually have a candle thing as well that plays music. Couldn't wait 'til after Christmas, which apart from Christmas Dinner and Christmas Pud is just another day for me these days. Why is it taking so long to process my order
I placed my order for fences 3 . I was advised that it would take one business days to receive an email at which day I will be charged and my order will be fulfilled .Well it's now 3days and still when I log on it says I have no orders . An order confirming gave me an order number 4126886 .
Can someone from Stardock please look into this as I am getting concerned.
