Is there a way to disable "Check for Updates"?

I have clicked for the program to go ahead and download/install update.  It restarts the PC after it supposedly installs, however it hasn't installed and it keeps ask to download/ install.

Fences 3 is running fine for me so I do not really want the update.  I would like to disable it, so it quits asking.

I have a laptop in a docking station connected to 2 other monitors.  So I have 3 monitors that I use as extended, (one big monitor).  I have my fences set up so each screen has certain fences.  When I remove the laptop from the dock, all the fences go to the one laptop screen, which was expected.  But when I reconnect to the dock the fences go back to different screens, but not necessarily the correct screen.  For example the laptop now shows screen 3's fences and screen...

Dear Developers and/or Users,

I use DeskScapes 8.51 for marvellous FullHD & UHD mp4 video files (renamed to avi) on my Windows 10 x64 desktop.

Everything works perfectly, only one problem is the quality of the video rendering.

The DeskScapes's video quality is completly same when I play the mp4 files in MPC-HC media player with system default video renderer. But this is very poor, with grey blacks and pale colors. Something like when the RGB output level is not the full PC scale (0-...

I installed the trials of Windowblinds and Star10 last night, and so far I'm very impressed with it.  I will most likely be purchasing them at the end of the trial period.

 

I'm having one minor issue though -- the colors on the taskbar aren't coming up properly.  It was fine when I first installed it, but after I had to reboot, the taskbar was coming up clear, except for the "Show hidden tasks" button and the button on the far right for showing the desktop.

I bought the whole ObjectDesktop package and was hoping to use Deskscapes with Fences but they don't appear compatible. Whenever I use Deskscapes the icons in Fences are all visible all over the desktop which rather defeats the purpose of Deskscapes.

 

Can these programs work properly together and if so what do I do?

Not really sure why I can't upload any images in my account settings. My avatar and such. The 100px and 150px ones.

Anyone else have this issue?

When MS decided not to update W10 on computers having "Clover Trail" processors, I don't think they realized they were screwing (potentially) close to 10 million computer owners by rendering their computers insecure.

By anyone's thinking, that's a lot of angry people, especially when we're speaking of computers which are at most 4 years old...and hybrid 2 in 1 devices using the Atom chip starting roughly in 2012. These folks had W 8/8.1 and were assured continued ser...

I installed Stardock WindowsBlinds on my system and changed the theme. After going through them all, I decided I didn't like any of them. When I went back to the default theme, everything seemed fine. Until I tried to highlight something. It became a sort of cyan color when it was usually blue. https://i.imgur.com/6Ygv7ib.png

Solution:

1. Open the theme settings on windows and select the default theme

2. Change your background to what it used to be

3. Done.

Hi,

As stated i have installed DeskScape on win 10 and followed the below guide in order to use animated wallpapers:

But sadly i still get the error:  "No suitable decoder found", because win 10 dosnt come with MPEG2 decoder. 

 

then i installed Microsofts MPEG2 decoder:

I am using Windows 10, with a new installation of Object Desktop, using the Windowblinds "Ice" skin.

I am trying to find a way to edit the background color of the notification tray icon area, where the inactive icons go, but am unable to find the location in Skin Studio.

I am also unable to find the place to change the background/text color of the menu, when you right-click on the Windows start icon.

I have looked for hours and tried even loading other skins to try and decipher wher...

Hello,

I saw lots of posts about the title bar moving to the bottom when align to the top edge of the screen. These posts are a few years old and I can't imagine that the developers of Fences didn't do anything in all these years.

So how can I lock those title bars ?

After installing Fences 3.03 on Windows 10, every time while showing the desktop (by using Win+D or pressing show desktop button), Windows explorer crashes and then restarts.

We could observe the desktop is re-drawn and sometime there will be a dialog saying Fences cannot be loaded.

The price paid for object desktop is only one year.  It is a yearly subscription that we pay for the software.  Nowhere in the stardock site it is mentioned.  One will come to know about this only after payment and when loggin in.  Beware of this before buying the products.

The problem is like this. I try to uninstall and reboot computer and reinstall few times. But it still didn't work.

If you have compatibility issues with WindowBlinds and an application or game, please do let us know in this thread so we can investigate it and hopefully resolve the problem.

Please make sure you are running the latest version of WindowBlinds first and that the problem exists with a theme included with WindowBlinds vs a downloaded one. 

Please provide as much detail as you can, screenshots of the problem, information on the application itself, how to reproduce the problem and if...

Good day Everyone!
I just recently updated to Windows 10 Creators Update. After the update, I'm experiencing a sort of delay whenever I clicked on anything on my desktop. Clicking the icons, right clicking. Everything has a delay on it.

So I tried disabling Fences and voila! Instant response. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Fences, but performance is still the same.

 

Using Fences 3.0.4.12

Any help or suggestions would be truly appreciated. Thank you!
