As the # of animated wallpapers submitted increases, we're having to establish some guidelines on what is and isn't going to be accepted:

Content MUST loop. An animated wallpaper should have a reasonably transitioning loop.
Do NOT submit content other people's work without their permission. We are allowing some leeway right now on this rule for content that is based on content distributed on the net until we determine the legality of this.

So I have a 20KW solar array. Love it.  But it has one big problem for me that is surprisingly hard/expensive to solve: If the grid power goes off, so does the solar array.

That’s because the solar array feeds into the grid with me taking what I need first.  But if the grid isn’t up, the solar array has to shut down because it is no longer connected to the “circuit”.  Besides that, you wouldn’t want to run your house where the power could go on and off randomly based on cloud...

I am sorry, there is no nice way to put it.  I have had the thing for 2 months now, and find about the only thing it is good for is playing movies.  It is not even good to surf the web as you cannot load Java!  I know MS hates that (preferring ActiveX), but unfortunately many sites use it.

It's taken me awhile to start this thread, sorry. I know this may end up in flame wars. Again I am sorry.

I choose to do the win 8 "reinstall and keep your personal files option" and after installing Deskscapes again the application will not play the dreams. The background changes to the video, plays for a second and then the video freezes as if it was paused, but the paused menu does not show that the video is paused. Not sure what is going on... any ideas?

Have installed Fences on Windows 8.

Tried it on a laptop I tried Windows 8 out on a week or so ago, and now have put it on a Windows 8 Pro (x64) install...

On laptop Fences behaved fine. Well, it behaves fine on the Windows 8 Pro on my main computer BUT it takes about 15 seconds to load after windows finishes loading. I have no desktop Icons until Fences finally loads (or perhaps loads straight away but nothing shows for 15 seconds or so). The machine boots in about 5 seconds or so, so its...

  Today I noticed all of cursor effects were gone, when I tried to put them back was when I noticed that I was no longer able to use Cursor FX Plus. I've tried to re-register but that does not work. I have also checked to see if my registration was still valid, it is. So my question is, What do I do now? HELP!

My mouse pointer is pointed in a northeastern fashion, strangely, this annoys me. I am used to my mouse pointers being in a northwestern fashion. Does anybody understand if there is a settings based way to solve this issue within CursorFX? I love CursorFX and this my only single problem. Thank you everyone for your time.

I have a account ended with @msn.com. Yes, it's a decade-old account with password forgotten. The reason I am concerned with this account is that it seems... it is hacked and someone else is using that account.

 

I've been trying to do anything, like doing password recovery page, visiting local Microsoft office, store, and some phone call to customer support.... none of them are working nor trying to help me.

Stardock released the first BETA of ModernMix today.  In a nutshell: Modern apps (often called Metro or RT apps) on Windows 8 are forced to run full-screen no matter what.  If you have a 20 inch monitor (or larger) you know how absurd it is for many of these apps to be running full-screen.

Morning like a fool I downloaded the new deskscapes 8 and then found out thats its for windows 8,now my deskscapes go blank when I apply any video to my desktop, has anybody have a idea whats wrong.

It's Now 2013 & I Am Asking The Same Question.... Can Google Chrome Scrollbars Be Skinned Now?  Or Any Of The Chrome Browsers?  I still Love Using Chrome As Its The Only Browsers That Works Good For What I Need To Do Online. So Can Anyone Help Or Know Of A Way I Can Get The Scrollbars Skinned It Still Bugs Me That Only Parts Of Chrome Is Skined & Scrollbars Are Left As Basic Grey ....Thanks x

I´m having trouble setting up the appearence of individual fences. When i installed the program some weeks ago everything were working fine and i managed to create several custom fences. However suddently the dropdowm menu where we choose the customized fences (under background style and color section) doesn´t list them anymore. It only lists two itemsw the first is All Fences and the second is ----------- (dashes).

I have the media center plugin installed and powerdvd 12 ultra installed but I still cannot use mpeg-2 files for dreams. What do I need to do to get this working? I thought both of these packages would have the codec needed...
