Hi

Just tried Fences for 30 days as i needed something to organize my desktop.

 

My verdict is as follows.

 

Fences seems like a really great product, but for my use it has one serious "flaw".

 

My setup is as follows :

 

15" laptop with docking station and 2 pcs 23" monitors attached.

Laptop screen and external monitors run different resolutions.

 

Made 3 boxes on my main screen on the 23" monitor and aligned everything nicely.

Good day Everyone!
I just recently updated to Windows 10 Creators Update. After the update, I'm experiencing a sort of delay whenever I clicked on anything on my desktop. Clicking the icons, right clicking. Everything has a delay on it.

So I tried disabling Fences and voila! Instant response. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Fences, but performance is still the same.

 

Using Fences 3.0.4.12

Any help or suggestions would be truly appreciated. Thank you!

I just came back to windowblinds after 8 years or so.

Now the menubar is skinned differently when the program is not the focus.  I need stardock to let me edit it, because I have black text on dark grey graphic image.

Updated to 10.6.2 and now WindowBlinds won't load. A window flashes open for a fraction of a second and closes. WindowBlinds Service is running. Tried uninstalling an reinstalling to no effect.

I tried reinstalling (rebooted after uninstall). Nothing works. And I can't find an option to lock/unlock fences from the program's settings. Also my tray icon is gone. And everything persists after reinstalling.

Microsoft has scheduled its Windows Creators Edition update to tentatively go live next week, and Stardock’s developers have been hard at work getting our software ready to support it. When Windows 10 Creator comes up the screen is blank.  I right click my mouse to select Configure Fences and "Puff" the icons appear without selecting anything.

I am new to Stardock apps so I apologize if I am in the wrong category. In Fences you can change the size of icons in a fence. However I have not been able to find a control to adjust the size of the font used in the icon description. Currently my icons are the size I want them but the font in the descriptions is way too large.

Any help/advice would be appreciated!

Deskscape seems to lock my machine up

 

windows 10 x64 Creators update

 

before it gets to the login screen i get a screen with three icons at bottom right (wifi, Power options)

im unable to press any button (only mouse moves, but dont click & Ctrl Alt Del dont work) so have to force a reboot by holding power button

after a few reboots it goes to the desktop

i paused deskscape and put a static image and now i have not had the problems since

Hi, after updating to Windows 10 Insider build 16193, ObjectDock (which was working perfectly fine for me on Creators Update retail) stopped working and started throwing out several "Entry point handler4 common" errors in several different DLLs.

As a workaround, it seems that launching ObjectDock in Windows 8 compatibility mode fixes the issue (so far).

Can offer SD Support Tool logs if needed.

I'm trying to activate my copy of Fences, but I keep getting the message that says, "There was a problem connecting to the activation server. Check your connection to the Internet and try again or proceed with an offline activation."

I tried the offline activation method and got this message instead: "This account does not have any valid registrations for this products. (1008)"

Title says it all really... When fences are up, icons that are un-fenced on my desktop are not visible.

Occasionally fences will crash, and the fenced icons will disappear along with their fences.  When that happens, the un-fenced icons will become visible.

Occasionally an icon will jump out of a fence. Soon as I click on it the icon will highlight then un-highlight after i let up on the button.Also, after this happens, many times the icon will LOCK in place on my desktop. It will appear to drag, and there will be an icon under my pointer, but the original LOCKED icon is still showing on the desktop...At this point I need to un-check the enable box on the "HOME" tab, wait for a few seconds then wait a good minute until finally all the icons return ...

How do I turn off fences auto-update?

It would be nice if there was a checkbox added to enable/disable checking for updates at Windows Startup.

Maybe stardock can tell us which URL it checks for updates at so I can block it on my router?

Windows 10 recently upgraded on May 13, 2017.  Now, Windows Control Panel crashes whenever I open it.  I configured Windowblinds (version 10.62) in the Configuration "per application" section to "Total Exclusion" Config.exe, but Windowblinds appears to ignore that optional command and Control Panel still crashes.  Control Panel only opens for a split second before it crashes, but I think I still see evidence of Windowblinds re-configuring the Control Panel.  What can I do to ...
