Been waiting years for this to be implemented, and now with Fences on Steam it makes more sense than ever.

Steam shortcuts should be an option. I know we can set .url to be auto added, but why can't Fences look for "steam://rungameid/*" in the shortcut and add it to a Steam fence? Perhaps in the future Fences could even integrate with categories on Steam and auto-sort into Fences based on those.

I am at work. How do I configure a proxyserver to connect to the activation server?

Without activation I cannot configure the fences.

Hey Folks,

I'm having two issues with Fences - One feels like a bug, the other possibly a feature I can't find:

1) Fences seem to sometimes reverts to 'Classic Icons' in the view settings. This is extremely annoying for me, as I've spent time making every Fence the right size and view type, and now I have to check this every time I start my machine. Having a desktop tool that allows customisation, but has to be customised every time you start the machine is useless.

Anyone know a fix fo...

i'm a newbie. I created several fences, made them roll ups, and have tried to center-align them vertically with even spacing. But I can't do it. Is there a way to set them precisely to the same widths, and position them vertically?

I would like to know why during the last years the "Referrals" button in the Galleries skins page was no more updated moreover why for the new skins it's always blocked at " 0 Referrals "

Hi,

I'm new WindowsBlinds, I just bough it today! I'm using Windows 10, with the new Creators Update.

I'd like to use "Modern" (by Danioc & Stardock) as my theme. But what I really need, before a new theme, is to be able to use "Arial Unicode MS Regular" as the System font.

Without WindowsBlinds (or using the "Default theme"), I'm able to change that System font using a third-party tool (but I'm sure this works too). But even if I set all the settings that seem to be related to font...

Hello,

I have installed the newest update of Windows 10 - Creators Update - today and saw, that in a folder portal on my desktop all the entries will be shown as medium icons. Even if I change it to a short list as before, on a restart of my laptop the folder portal sjows the icons. It seems, that my changes will not be saved permanently. 

Is this issue already known?

Certain forum threads that I subscribe to (because I've posted to them) show up in my subscriptions as having been updated, but the forum won't show me the latest posts.

Hi!

So everytime I restart windows explorer there is about 80% chance "Fences" don't recover (restarts). If I restart explorer once again most of the time Fences starts again ...

If I try to start "Fences" manually after it has failed.

I get  "Fences does not appear to be loaded. You may need to reinstall Fences" (see external link above)

Are there any simple dark theme's for windows 10, some of the pre-installed themes for Windowblinds 10.x let you customize the colors for specific window attributes, but I cannot get dialog boxes and explorer windows "dark" like you can in Linux:

Well, title says it all. Whenever I try to move an icon within a roll-up fence to a different position (between 2 icons), it simply snaps back to the first free space (at the bottom of the fence). I had to place my roll-up fence in the middle of 4 icons, to have it move in between the upper 2 icons... This shouldn't be this hard!

Here we are, in 2017, and this ages old bug is still in place.

When you create a new folder or text file on the desktop, ALL of the previously used icons (in the current session) are moved out of their fences, and renamed to the same folder/file name.

This brings another question to my mind: Is Fences even being supported these days?

Such a good piece of software definitely don't deserve this kind of abandonment.

When I use a Folder Portal and make double-click to a folder in it, open the windows file explorer and not in Folder Portal.

I checked in Folder Portal Menu "Allow navigation" but doesn't works.

 

Have anyone an idea what's wrong. Use Windows 10 and it's up-to-date, buy Fences 3.01
