Fences is a piece of cr*p. It cleared my desktop (and yes I know how it is supposed to be restored. Butnothing!) I can go to the snapshots but they refuse to restore. Keep well away from this junk.

Whenever I try to post something using Firefox I get the above message.

I don't get this with other browsers and, I don't have problems with any other sites - just WC.

In spite of the decline in the number of skinners, over time, the number of skins has continued to grow.

I know Stardock has said they don't see much reason to enhance Random Styles functionality but it would be great if we could know where any lists (in ASCII form) exist within the Windowblinds file system. Then we could use Excel to do some nice sorting and culling and randomizing.

Wouldn't that be nice?

I have that version on my desktop, I cant seem to find it to download to my laptop!!

The easiest way to get rid of the adds in the W10 Start Menu is with Start10.

But say you haven't gotten Start 10 (not here!), there are other places it will appear: Your desktop and file explorer.

I bought fence, and I installed it on a clean formatting windows 7.
The software gives me 2 annoying bugs.

1. When I delete a file from your desktop, outside the fences window, a fence icon moves off the fence window on the desktop

2. If I rename an icon (for example "name" tests) out of the window fence, a fence icon moves outside her window, and changed its name to "name test".

Now that Microsoft is nearing the final release of the Creators Update (RS2), where do we stand with a Fences update? The crashing bug seems to be gone from earlier builds, but Folder Portals still do not work correctly:

- The folder view always defaults to Medium Icons and they are all squished together. There's no padding/spacing between them.

- Switching to a list or detail view works, but this setting doesn't persist after reboot. It goes back to the broken Medium Icons view.&n...

Would like it if fences could be pinned to the sides of the screen as they can the top and bottom, from which they would roll-out "horizontally". I would like to place all my rolled-up fences along the margins of the screen.

btw, I've been using v2 for a some time, and recently upgraded to v3. Really happy with it. Nice upgrade. Couple minor glitches, which have already been mentioned here but overall, very good.

I run MalwareBytes every other day. Today I updated the data-base then ran the scan. When the scan finished MB said it found 705 pups, potentially unwanted programs, 705! Go to details and every file, registry entry, folder etc. that was Advanced System Care had been quarantined! HUH!! Say what!

I ran MB day before yesterday and it did not touch ASC. Now all of a sudden its on MB's hit list. Now I have to reinstall ASC and wonder...if I run MB again will it do the same thing? Suggestions....

When fences are snapped to the top of the screen, the fence will roll downwards with the title bar.

 

I want the same behaviour but on the opposite side, right above the task bar. I have seen this done in the link below.

My fences are not snapping to the bottom of the monitor or to the taskbar. They just function normally which is rolling down the fence from the title bar.
