Ive run Win10 since it came out. I had some software compatibility issues, a bit of a learning curve, but over all it has been fine. I dont have the newest hardware so maybe thats why? I remember windows 95.. That was some terrible software after coming to if from OS2 WARP. OS2 Warp was Win7 before MS had Win95..![]()

Bug in desktop fences
Hi there,
Just popped in to report a bug. If you right-click an icon in a fence on the desktop and select properties (for example if you just wanted to see the shortcut location pointed to or other information), the shortcut suddenly goes back to the desktop and I have to drag it back ito the fence again each time. Surely not intended behaviour. Gets annoying after a while. Any chance of a fix please?

Fences 3 on Windows 10 - Icons Disappearing from Fences, but still on Desktop
I have a User testing Fences 3 and over the last 2 weeks she has had 2 or 3 icons disappear from within Fences. When she would recreate them they would have a 2 added to the end (ie. - the shortcuts already existed somewhere on her Desktop). When we opened File Explorer and looked at her Desktop the missing shortcuts and the new ones she created were all listed.
I went through every setting in the Fences Menu and found nothing that would cause this issue, nor could I loc...![]()

How do I limit Fences to just my account?
When my wife logs in she keeps getting a popup window and she does not want Fences.

I am very disappointed
I bought fence, and I installed it on a clean formatting windows 7.
The software gives me 2 annoying bugs.

Fences 3.0.3 fails to recover when explorer is restarted
Hi!
So everytime I restart windows explorer there is about 80% chance "Fences" don't recover (restarts). If I restart explorer once again most of the time Fences starts again ...
If I try to start "Fences" manually after it has failed.
I get "Fences does not appear to be loaded. You may need to reinstall Fences" (see external link above)![]()

WindowBlinds Bug With Skype
I have set Skype NOT to auto update, but it seems that MS update will update Skype on it's own.
I keep rolling back, but somehow Skype updates itself and I get this mess.
All skins do it, some worse than others, sometimes the line is really thin, just a few pixels. But all skins do it.
Excluding Skype would suck, big time. A few others I talk with, including LightStar, see this problem as well.

Changing File Explorer background color
I'm using WindowBlinds 10.5.0 in Windows 10. None of the themes I've tried have been able to change the main background color of File Explorer windows. I've tried using themes which, when I used Windows 7, did change the Explorer main background color; in Windows 10, the same themes have no such effect.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Laptop refusing to sleep
Got me a Lenovo laptop here. Not sure of the model, I know it's an IdeaPad 110, but they have many 110 models. This one has the Intel Core I3 with 6 GB of DDR4 memory and a 1 TB hard drive. Anyhow, I'm running Windows 10 and have it set to turn off the display after 2 minutes and sleep after 5 on both plugged in and battery. IconPackager and CursorFX will not open
While working on my Steampunk wall I wanted a complete Steampunk theme on my screen. So I downloaded Kitty's icon pack and cursor. I'm running the cursor now but CursorFX will not open when I click on either the shortcut or the exe in the folder. Same thing with IconPackager. With that I clicked on the .ip and nothing happened. I would like to know if I purchase WindowBlinds. How long do I get updates for. When comes to buying licenses for software's I like using. I always go for the ones that offers lifetime updates/upgrades for lifetime. When I went to add WindowBlinds to checkout I was offered Object Desktop for a discounted price. Have installed Fences on Windows 8.
Tried it on a laptop I tried Windows 8 out on a week or so ago, and now have put it on a Windows 8 Pro (x64) install...
On laptop Fences behaved fine. Well, it behaves fine on the Windows 8 Pro on my main computer BUT it takes about 15 seconds to load after windows finishes loading. I have no desktop Icons until Fences finally loads (or perhaps loads straight away but nothing shows for 15 seconds or so). The machine boots in about 5 seconds or so, so its...![]()

Fences 3.0.3 no working

I have read a lot of posts and in every subject I find a problem that occurs with me. After some time (minutes) Fences disappear but the icons are still visible. If you do refresh desktop Fences disappears immediately. I can not rename or create new Fences. I tried to reinstall but it did not help.
I use Windows 10 with all the upgrades and the latest Fences. Trying to solve the problem for almost 20 days and I still have six days to decide if I buy this software.![]()

Can't validate software Fences 3
A lot of trouble for a simple piece of software. I've not had any luck ... seems my system won't communicate with the Stardock servers after I click the submit button.

WindowBlinds and Windows 10 Insider 15025 - READ BEFORE INSTALLING THE FAST BUILD
It appears the latest Windows 10 Insider build may have a bug which could cause Explorer to crash in a loop if a WB skin is applied.
We are investigating but for now we must recommend you disable WindowBlinds before updating your Insider builds and do not enable WB until we have addressed this.![]()
