Hi,

as you read, modern UI Apps let the explorer crash when animated. Because the crashing explorer issue is already there, I try to fix the symptoms and exclude this apps.

 

For me it happens nearly everytime with the app "audiocloud", but without an Exe it seems impossible to exclude them.

 

Thanks for any hint or (whoa!) a bugfix!

There has been only one recent comment that someone was having a problem getting WindowBlind skins to work on Hi resolution or 4k monitors. In SKS 10 there is a place to install  Hi Res images for every image in every section. The are places to install 6 images ranging from 125% to 250% scaling. So lets say one is in the Edit start menu section. So every image you have in that section would you place it in all 6 areas in the Build high dpi image section? Would you need different size images...

UPDATE: Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 15002 brought some improvements for high DPI scaling, hopefully those improvements will make it into the next major Windows 10 update. I'm not able to test it at the moment because Insider Previews aren't available for laptops. Maybe the scaling problems of WindowBlinds will be automatically fixed by that update.

 

I'm not completely sure whether this is an issue with WindowBlinds or with the styles themselves, but it affects quite ...

I noticed others discussing compatibility issues with 15002, and I just wanted to add that on 1 of my 4 updated machines I have zero issues, on the other 3 Fences (or explorer) is slow to start up, then crashes Explorer if you click on any fence to expand it.

Have reported this to Microsoft as well, but figured I would let users here know to stay away from 15002 if you use Fences.

Hello,

I´d like to know if I am the only one perceiving general slugishness of Fences3/3.0.3 under Windows 10 64x.
 

I have 4K display, and around 100 icons, no folder portals. The lag between clicking on the icon, and its actual selection, ranges between 1 and 2 seconds.

When I switch Fences off, everything is instant, and smooth. With Fences on, selecting, moving, or boxing icons gets very choppy, and slow.

My CPU is i4770, Windows is freshly installed, and this is the ...

I'm using Fences 3.0.3 on Windows 10 with 2 monitors,

My screen layout is [ Monitor 2 ] [ Monitor 1 ], Monitor 1 is my main screen,

but when I create or download files, the new file position always go to Monitor 2,

how can I change the default position to Monitor 1, or disable desktop on Monitor 2?

Yes!  Ice!   But it's not what you may think.

I have v3.03 and navigation 'checked' for folder portals.

 

I am under the impression that I can navigate within a folder portal.  That is, I can open a sub-folder within a portal and return to the primary folder etc.  Am I incorrect in thinking this is possible?  I did notice that I had an arrow next to the title on a folder portal but clicking that using any combination had no effect.  My only solution was to select 'different folder' to navigate ...

you think it is in the fence but if you move the fence you can see it is not all the other icons move with the fence

this new icon also will not become transparent with the fence

   Had purchased version of Windows Blinds on old Windows7 PC now Trying out trial version of WB 10 on new pc with Windows 10- hate the interface not at all like my old version. Will it look more and act like the older version once bought? This version seems very dull and a pain to use compared to the older versions. I hate Windows 10 but am stuck with it.

Greetings. I have been running fences for a while (part of object desktop). But now I can't add icons to desired fences. Every time I try to move an icon to a fence, I receive a notice that my subscription has expired. I've renewed my subscription to Object Desktop (which wasn't expired at all), uninstalled my fences program and reinstalled. The same result. My background changes every 5 min, but fences 3 will not update.

Hi All,

ObjectDock was last updated on July 15, 2014, nearly 2.5 years ago. Has Stardock abandoned it?

I'm trying to run it on my Surface Pro 4 running the latest version of Windows 10, and there are three major bugs:

I've been using Fences 2 for several years and have had no real problems with it.  I just upgraded to Fences 3 and now the transparency is not working properly.

 

I'm running Windows 10 with two screens, and I have different wallpaper on each screen.  I have all my Fences on Display 1, but the transparency image that Fences displays is from Display 2, example:

 



Please let me know if you need any more information.

As shown in Figure,my desktop appear Black blocks sometimes.Usually appears when I am using the right-click.But it disappeared after I refresh desktop.

Hi!

So everytime I restart windows explorer there is about 80% chance "Fences" don't recover (restarts). If I restart explorer once again most of the time Fences starts again ...

If I try to start "Fences" manually after it has failed.

I get  "Fences does not appear to be loaded. You may need to reinstall Fences" (see external link above)
