Not that update errors ever happen, but MS has a new troubleshooting and fixing tool for borked updates, providing the update hasn't rendered the OS unusable...

"This guided walk-through provides steps to fix problems when installing updates. Here are some commonly seen error codes: 0x80073712, 0x800705B4, 0x80004005, 0x8024402F, 0x80070002, 0x80070643, 0x80070003, 0x8024200B, 0x80070422, 0x80070020. I wanted to write something about security, especially related to automatic updates. Automatic updates are pushed as a security measure. Is having an updated system important? The ULTIMATE BURN,

I am a member of Stardock. I had purchased the premium package a year or 2 ago. When asked to upgrade for Stardock's Wincustomize your original registration key's will not work requiring you to purchase a new one. What kind of company does this?

Every software I have ever purchased has come with Free upgrades. Just like my Anti-Virus or my text to speech by Next Up and more are all Free. So not only can I not upgrade the software makes it so you can not...

Upgraded to the newest version- I just noticed that when I right-click on a header and select 'View' there is no option to unlock the fence. All my Fences are locked. Has this option been moved somewhere else?

Sorry to post this on the holiday, but he deserves the notice...George Michael (according to his agent) has passed away at home at age 53.

His real name was Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou. He gained fame in the group Wham! (with Andrew Ridgeley).

Everyone has their favorite...won't bore you with mine as I'm sure yours is equally great.

 

George Michael, Rest In Peace...you left far too soon.

Just letting you guys know that my password that is set up with my account is longer than the character limit for the "change password" and "current password" fields in the account settings under the login tab.  This will keep me from being able to change my password and my username.  (I really would like to change my username as it defaulted to my email address.)

Its a foregone conclusion that 2016 was not kind to a great many people. So, on top of all that, I had to deal with a glitched Xion for a third time. Twice before an update frazzled it and the last one was no different. Two of my Christmas uploads are late, sorry about that, I just uploaded them.

All that aside have a wonderful holiday everyone.

Okay, so I commenced to growing a beard because shaving of late was giving me a rash that could become quite sore, and I got enough problems with sore that I didn't need that as well.  Thing is, the beard didn't grow as I'd expected.

When I try and install the software on Windows 10 v1607, I get an error saying that Windows cannot find c:\windows\system32\regsvr32.exe although when checking, it is actually there. Fences is still showing the previously configured fences but if I right click and try to "Configure Fences" this no longer functions...

Okay, so it's Boxing day eve and Christmas is done and dusted for another year, thank goodness.  No, I'm not complaining at all.  It was a great day yesterday.  I had my daughter here with her kids, and that was nice, and Shaunna had one of her nieces here to share Christmas Day when she otherwise would have save been alone. Sadly, Rick Parfitt, the long time guitarist of Status Quo, passed away on Christmas Eve in a Spanish hospital from complications to an infection he had.

I recall listening to Quo's 'Down the Dustpipe' on UK radio back in the 60's and thinking "how I like this band".  Yup, Status Quo brought us some great tunes over the 40 years they've been together.  Sadly, they are now missing a core member.

I installed the 30 day trial of fences, app seems neat.

1 day later i reboot "Trial has expired", oh boy that was a fast 30 days haha.

 

might be a bug in the fences trial (newest as of this post 3.03)

Whenever explorer.exe auto-restart because of a crash or user interference, Fences won't load along with it. The context menu is also gone and if Fences.exe is opened via its folder, there's a message "Fences does not appear to be loaded. You may need to reinstall Fences." The option "Enable Fences" in the Home tab is checked and I've already uninstall and reinstall to no avail.

I've managed to do workarounds of disabling the "Enable Fences" then restarting the explorer.exe an...

Now I've installed ObjectDock on new Windows, when updated it, but noticed, that all docks are hangs up when I hover the cursor to it after I opened and minimized any window.
