This morning I started looking into using an alternative start menu. With a few options in mind, I began by installing the Startisback++ Trial for Windows 10. The sole reason didn't work for me was that it insisted I either use the default windows start button, one of their default alternatives, or specify a custom one, when all I wanted was for it to do nothing at all with the button so WindowBlinds can do it's thing.. Cannot unlock new Fences 3.03- right-click View has no option
Upgraded to the newest version- I just noticed that when I right-click on a header and select 'View' there is no option to unlock the fence. All my Fences are locked. Has this option been moved somewhere else?

My Thoughts On Windows 10 Now
In the early days I made it quite clear that I did not like Win 10 and that I'd stick with Win 8.1 because it is fast, stable and reliable. In fact, I'm still using 8.1 on my main rig and am happy with the choice to remain with it. However, I have Win 10 0n my HP 2-in1 and like it much better now that I've tweaked it to suit my likes and needs. In some cases I used 3rd-party apps to achieve the desired result, but often times I could adjust things in 'Settings...![]()

Multiple selections dragging images on desktop
Hi there,
since i use Fences (about 3 years) i have this little problem: from a web page, when i drag an image onto desktop, (using any browser) i have 1 other icon on desktop selected at same time. This happens everytime i drag an image, and the other icon selected, may be in everywhere on my desktop. Is not even the same.
As result, if i rename, cut, move or apply other actions on dragged image, it will be apply on other selected icon too.
The only one thing i can do after dragged it,...![]()

Wishes for future upcoming Object Dock versions for Windows 10

what do you think, also the stardock team, if you could implant also the "Info-Center" of Windows 10 in the future upcoming version of Object Dock for Windows 10? For example in the "System Tray-dock"?
An other idea is: could Stardock also implant the internal Windows 10 - Apps like Calender in the Object Dock? And, what also could be important, if, when you open the, for example, Calender-App, it wouldn´t need sooo long to open the app. At t...![]()

Turn off checking for updates
Is there a way to disable "Check for Updates"?
I have clicked for the program to go ahead and download/install update. It restarts the PC after it supposedly installs, however it hasn't installed and it keeps ask to download/ install.
Fences 3 is running fine for me so I do not really want the update. I would like to disable it, so it quits asking.

Is it possible to left align a Fences Label Text?
I have just installed Fences and keep several fences of varying widths rolled up to the left of my screen.
The problem is the text labels look messy as they are centre justified.
I can't find a way of left justifying the labels so they all line up with each other.
Can this be done? If so - please tell me how.
I did google and search this forum - but apart from a feature request - could not find any solution.

Image backup corrupted
While organizing files and stuff, clearing space on my hard drive and sending some stuff to my backup HD, my system began to slow down to nearly a crawl. I thought perhaps it was ASC as I recently upgraded to the latest version. Turns out that was not the case. Opening explorer became a pain, almost a full minute to open. So...long story longer...I did a system restore from a backup system image. An hour goes by. System restore completes and restarts...and restarts again after claiming it had en...![]()

WB Icon not showing in the system tray

Please, can the tray area in Windows 10 Anniversary Update release be fixed?
Before the Anniversary update release of Windows 10 the horizontal taskbar tray area used to show the time and date only in the tray area, regardless of taskbar height. After the anniversary update tons of skins, if the taskbar ended up being over 44 pixels in height, have the tray area showing the time, day and date. It is also not centered vertically on the taskbar in almost all cases.

Is there a way to get .gif files converted to dreams
I've been trying to get a file that was originally a .gif file to a dream. I have tries to change the extension to a .mpg and .avi and used dreammaker to make the dream but windows wont allow those (no .mpeg decoder). I have also gone to Wincustomize.com ant tried doing it there but I get the same issue.

The status of the Object Dock SDK(s) in 2016
So... I have a number of questions on the subject of the OD SDK.
First, let me say I have had fun using the OD SDK, and have had no real trouble (aside from the data typing issue mentioned below) with it for years now!
Currently, I am using the "ObjectDock Docklet SDK v1.0" available from the link http://storage.stardock.com/files/ObjectDock_Docklet_SDK_v1.0.zip
Note that I consider it to have a bug in the definition of the final function in the DockletSDK.cpp file [WritePrivateProfil...![]()
