What it is:

Back either in the later years of Windows 98 or the early years of Windows XP (I don't remember at this point) I had a 3D desktop environment program.  Thinking back on my browsing habits back then, I probably found it linked off of SPACE.com when it was relatively new.

I hope this is the correct forum.... forgive me if its not.

Just wanted to say that even someone as tech illiterate as myself can appreciate how great a site this is.  I recently retired, and having more idle time, I got back into playing on the computer more. I quickly realized that the 95 xp desktop I had was completely obsolete by todays standards so I purchased my 1st laptop, a sony vaio touchscreen with windows 8.

Having an ipad I figured it wouldn't be too too...

I cannot get IconPackager to change my live folders.  I'm using a package that has live folders built-in.  I've rebuilt the icon cache several times.  When I look at the shell icons entry in the registry, it does point to my live folders icon package images. What am I missing???

Okay people, so I get a newsletter from an online shopping establishment I've done business with in the past, and this just grabbed my immediate attention... a pen device that turns your regular Windows 8 notebook into a 'Touch' screen device.  All you do is connect the USB transmitter/receiver and the pen works wirelessly.  Bloody brilliant!!!  For more info, check it out here and here and here

Hello It's Me Again...It's Now 2013 & I Am Asking The Same Question.... Can Google Chrome Scrollbars Be Skinned Now?  Or Any Of The Chrome Browsers?  I still Love Using Chrome As Its The Only Browsers That Works Good For What I Need To Do Online. So Can Anyone Help Or Know Of A Way I Can Get The Scrollbars Skinned It Still Bugs Me That Only Parts Of Chrome Is Skinned & Scrollbars Are Left As Basic Grey ....Thanks x

1: is there a way to search the forums? The search box just seems to be Google, and I'm sure people have asked these questions before, and I don't want to be annoying bugging you with classic FAQs, but there you are.

 

2: In the drop down menu on my nick, when I chose "email hfball" it says I have "chosen not to receive emails." Is there any way I can elect to receive email replies? I already checked "show email" in my profile, but that doesn't seem to have done anything. ...

When I try to go to peoples sites through their profile I’m taken to the WinCutomize home page. The only other way I know is through the galleries which means I can only view 1 page. I tried to raid Kitty’s stuff last night, 1 page…needless to say I was disappointed, is there another way? Thanks.

I am sorry, there is no nice way to put it.  I have had the thing for 2 months now, and find about the only thing it is good for is playing movies.  It is not even good to surf the web as you cannot load Java!  I know MS hates that (preferring ActiveX), but unfortunately many sites use it.

I also cannot use Logmein, VPN, VMWare View, or even OWA!  There is no hard client for VPN, and since RT does not do Java, you cannot use the Anyconnect.  VMWare View has a client i...

Have installed Fences on Windows 8.

Tried it on a laptop I tried Windows 8 out on a week or so ago, and now have put it on a Windows 8 Pro (x64) install...

On laptop Fences behaved fine. Well, it behaves fine on the Windows 8 Pro on my main computer BUT it takes about 15 seconds to load after windows finishes loading.
