Ok, so I have been thinking, I need some laughs as I have been feeling down due to 1 so called daughter that thinks ripping her own cousin off is a good idea and stealing her cousins stuff and then trashing the place and leaving it stinking like a pigsty , my niece Louise has Parkinson's disease and is bringing up her 5 year old son and shes lost her hubby 5 months ago. [Fences 3] 9.2MB update every day
So every day for the last week I receive a desktop notification that Fences 3 needs to download and install a 9.2MB update, whether or not I choose to install it, it appears the next day.
The problem is it minimizes everything I am doing in fullscreen, be it multiplayer games where its really disrupting, or watching videos.
When I get in the Fences configuration, go to About and Check for updates, it says I am in the latest version ( 3.0.1 )
I don't know if reinstalling will make me...![]()

Roll-up fences underneath other windows
So I upgraded to the new fences. And I liked the idea of having the roll-ups along the edge of my main screen, and just moving the mouse over them when I need to access the apps / date / folders. But when I do this, they unroll underneath the existing windows. What use is that? Is there an 'always on top' setting that I'm missing?

Fences 3.1 suggestions
1. Option to not unroll a Fence on mouseover, or at least delay it. I'd just like to be able to stack all my rolled up Fences on the side of the screen, and drag them out in the middle of the screen when I need them without them unfurling immediately. Perhaps just an option to open them manually with the mouse instead of automatically when you touch them.

It seems that there should be a mechanism developed whereas one can check what items they want downloaded and after checking is complete the download proceeds as a zip file. Is there another method to easily perform multiple downloads?![]()

Can icon spacing inside a fence be controlled independent of the icon spacing that Windows applies to icons that are not inside a fence
After having upgraded to Fences 3.0.1, I am having problems with the horizontal and vertical space around icons that reside inside a fence. I'm using Windows 10 Pro.
I understand how to change icon spacing in the Windows registry, and after having tweaked that to create the desired horizontal and vertical spacing around icons on my desktop that are not inside a fence, I am dismayed to see that icons inside a fence do not respect those settings. The coming AI apocalypse
I think long before global climate change matters one way or the other that the fate of humanity will be determined by how we make use of strong AI.
In the near term (next 5 to 10 years) we’re going to see a huge swath of jobs disappear. This past week Panera bread added a kiosk to let me order my food. Wendy’s and McDonalds are already heading that way too.

Fences is broken in Windows 10 Home Insider Program
I am in the WIndows 10 Insider program. Currently using Build 14343.rs1_release 160506-1708
Screenshot is attached.
After a period of inactivity (Unknown how long, probably about 2 hours) all fences and the desktop become blank. The predefined fences are still visible, just zero content.
F5, refresh, does nothing.
Rebooting or merely logging out and logging back in will bring all the fences back.
It has been this was since I becam...![]()

How to invoke Win 10 metro menu
I am using Classic Shell 4.2.5 with Fences 2.13. Before I installed Fences, I could down swipe on the right edge of the desktop and open the win 10 metro screen. Now with Fences installed I can now longer do that. I searching a particular problem the web search results refers to a solution, however it is based on opening a win 10 metro screen app. Is there a way, now with fences installed, to open the metro screen without damaging my fences setups?![]()
