Greetings, not sure if I'm in the right forum just joined WinCustomize and was hoping someone could enlighten me as to making an animated wallpaper. (I have Dreammaker but not quite sure how to use it) The picture I have is called "maresdefaultjpg" it's actually a picture of a "fire horse". the dimensions are 1920x1080  the size is 124kb. What I would like to do is have the horse running, with a smoking effect, and either smoke or flames or both coming from it's nostrils. I can a...

Cannot delete a Fence

Good Morning:
I'm running Win 10, and purchased Fences (v2.13) on Apr 7, 2016. To my knowledge it has worked perfectly until today, when i was demo'ing Fences to a Win 7 friend:

I created a new Fence, added a folder and some shortcuts inside it, then eventually removed them and the folder, but could not remove/delete the Fence itself.  From reading various posts - I believe I should see an "X" at the top-right corner, which I should click...  Hovering over any part o...

Ok, so I have been thinking, I need some laughs as I have been feeling down due to  1 so called daughter that thinks ripping her own cousin off is a good idea and stealing her cousins stuff and then trashing the place and leaving it stinking like a pigsty , my niece Louise has Parkinson's disease and is bringing up her 5 year old son and shes lost her hubby 5 months ago.   I have been away since last Thursday helping Louise to get her house back in order after Bianca and her so cal...

I was just seeing how bad the fires are in Alberta,  Canada. I hope my good friend Ken Crooks is ok.

I'm certain we have other friends and family in Canada, I pray that all can get away from this awful event!

WindowBlinds 10 - Firefox won't skin

Hey everyone,

I just upgraded to windowblinds 10 yesterday and everything seems to be skinning just fine except for Firefox. I have the latest version of firefox and it just retains the windows 10 default look, except for the scrollbars which change with the chosen skin.

[UPDATE] AVI Video set as dream, Still very choppy.

I downloaded the Tremonti - Dust Lyric Video from YouTube and set it as my Wallpaper. Now granted I'm running on a potato as is

(AMD A8-4500M w/ Radeon HD 7640G Graphics @512 MB)

But, If I pause/play the content using the explorer context menu, sometimes it plays at full speed. Any possible cause as to why this would happen, or is it just an isolated incident, like my Alienware Alpha dying after a Hard Drive Firmware Upgrade

[UPDATE]: Just got my Alienware Alpha back...

Non computer "skinning"

Here's a couple of things I do when I'm not skinning for windows. I work on a passenger ferry for a company called Color Line (http://www.colorline.com/crossings/from_germany_to_norway).My workplace is in the buffet restaurant which is the largest restaurant on the ship (we can seat up to 650 at a time) I'm the assistant head waiter which means that I'm in charge of the reservations and seating chart. Always the perfectionist, I couldn't stand the blurry, copy of a copy ...

New Sorting Rule idea

an idea for fences for making a new sorting rule

When a shortcut is made it reads the target (for example - if the Target has Steam:// then it could sort it out to a fence that has been defined for steam shortcuts)

same with origin and uplay (any game lanucher actuly that uses target links)

Hope you guys try to find a way to do this

Finally something that might help–Watson to fight cybercrime or will it?

Eight universities will be working with IBM and a cloud based version of Watson to better understand how to detect and fight cybercime. The computer will be fed huge amounts of data and system security reports including IMB’s X-Force library which contains more than 100K of documented vulnerabilities. They hope this will also bridge gaps in knowledge of individuals working in IT security. One of Watson’s pluses is that it can work with unstructured data, since the average organizatio...

Talos (a Cisco subsidiary) has found a vulnerability in the popular software 7-Zip.

It exists in the code that handles the UDF files (Uniform Disk Format). This fault is in the file which handles DVD video and audio, and it’s used for other optical disk formats, and involves flawed input validation.

This flaw has been fixed in the 7-Zip v. 16.0 released this month.

Sooo…if you, like many, use 7-Zip, PLEASE UPDATE your software to protect from attacks targeting thi...

Any DesktopX Users Left?

Guys, I am considering getting back into skinning.

Mostly, DesktopX. And a Winstep or two here and there.

My question is, are there enough of you still interested in DesktopX stuff to make it worth it?

Feel free, please do, to chime in here to let me know who is still interested.

Fence on top temporariy?

Is there some way that I could display a fence on top of other widows.  Select a program from the fence. And then release back to its normal position behind other windows?

Thank you -- Keith

New AI breakthru

New AI breakthrough: One of the hardest jobs for AI has been natural language parsing. There are many examples of ambiguity that would stump most human recipients - and yet are perfectly valid, grammatically correct, etc. We humans resolve these situations by puttiing them in a context and/or by seeking further clarification. This task - translating a stream of symbols such as words into a meaningful mental object in our consciousnes - has been partially solved by heroic efforts such as Sir...
