I am just wondering were are all the golden oldies gone , I have a list of some names, and would be interested in knowing where they are and what they are doing with themselves and hopefully they will come back home to WC , and if you folks can think of any names to add to Where are they now thread please feel free to add them , How ever I do know of some members have moved away or have passed away ....

I am using Windows 7 and WB 7. I have put textures on Windows 7 default theme.In Windows 8/10 it is no longer possible to put textures on default MS theme. Is this for technical or legal reason?If it's a technical reason, then maybe this can be solved? If MS says no then not much can be done.Windows 8.1 theme and Windows 10 theme are not that bad. I would just like the option to put some textures on windowframes, startmenu and taskbar.I tried the following: I used a Stardock theme (Windows 7...

I am running Deskscapes 8.5 on Windows 10 and here is my problem. When I start my computer everything is fine but after being on my computer for a while usually after playing a game my deskscapes is not moving. If I right click on the desktop and click configure deskscapes and then apply all is well again. Any thoughts on this and how to fix it?

Well, I guess that I'm ready to take the plunge and up to WB10. I've a number of inquiries whether or not my blinds worked on Win10 and been told that with some minor modifications my blinds will work on Win10, so... what the heck.

Dear concerned,

 

I have paid for Object Desktop, unfortunately without checking what all it had were compatible with windows 10 or not. Nevertheless, I should say I knew deep down that I shall get updates on the non compatible items, esp., the windows blinds.

Hello everyone,

I was glad to get Windows Blinds 10, but i am facing that no theme exept Window default is working correct. There are blinking icons in the toolbar on the main screen, and the toolbar on the secondary screen blinking at all. Windows 10 11.10586.164. 

So if some found a workaround please let me know.

Where do uninstall wb7 in order to install wb10. I'm being taken to the gamestop site but have never had an account with them.

EDIT: I attempted to uninstall 7.0, which didn't. Attempting to uninstall 7.4 worked.

I am running Start10 and WindowBlinds10 under Windows 10 Pro x64 (1511 - 10586.164) and I have a problem with the width of the right-hand panel in the Start menu.

Immediately after installation everything looks correct, but after a restart the width of the right-hand panel is reduced to about half of its normal size. For example: the line containing "Universal Applications" is reduced to "Universal Applica...".

I have tried reinstalling but to no effect. This appears to happen with almost ...

I am not having any luck. I am not new to the windows alternation software (if u will). I have....

1. Winows 10 current 10586

2. Start10 (completely working)

3. Unsigned themes running

4. Windows at "default".

 

I ran the "bat" file given to restart "purge" uninstalled and re-installed windowsblind10 and still not able to get to work. Am I missing a step? I know with windows 7 I have about 30 themes I purchased and needed to use...(cant think off hand). a script to allow 3...

I've been running WB 8.13 for a few months without issue. Nothing on my system has changed, ie. no new hardware etc. since originally installing WB.  Recently I've begun to experience two nasty symptoms which are corrected by unloading WB: 

1)  My browser's interface (GUI) is corrupted, making it impossible to use,

2)  Experiencing random BSODs, with random error messages such as critical_process_error or unknown_error.

I have a license for both Start10 and WindowBlinds 10 just today I, in excitement, installed WB10 only to find it doesn't function properly.

It appears skinned elements, especially in the taskbar, flicker rapidly and sometimes turns black and back, furthermore buttons seem to not function especially in the taskbar. Seems to happen with any skin.

 

I'm running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, Build 10586

 

I was wondering if anyone else has seen this?

It's that time of the year again.  I've been to the track to get my passes etc. .... for the 37th time in a row.

Albert Park [Melbourne] is just 5 days away.  I'm posted at Turn 6 Left [Comms] and Terry's at 5.8 Right [Trackie]

And to think I was 26 years old at that first one I did in 1980 - when Alan Jones was World Champion.
