Cannot install either alone or through ODM
Everytime I try to install WindowsBlinds (WB) 8.12 I get a message saying Reboot required - Please reboot to complete the WB uninstall before proceeding with the new installation. the install will now exit.
I do not have any version of WB on my PC. each and every time it does this - very frustrating.
It seems to be loading and installing using ODM but when it says install completed and you press next to go and start the program, there is nothing there but the other stardock app I am using....![]()

So I set my HP 2-in-1 back to factory settings to resolve a couple of issues and unclutter, speed up my machine with a fresh start.
No problem, right? WRONG!!!!!!

Object Desktop and Windows 10 : ODN Updates?
So I have been subscribing to ODN on a monthly basis, even though it costs more in the long run, it's what I could afford or I should say 'how' I could afford it. I have received the emails saying that the monthly sub will be discontinued as of April 2016.
My question is this : Come April, will programs that have NOT been compatible with Windows 10 be updated or not?

Dreams and Nightmares

I realize I may be about to open a shit storm, believe me, NOT my intent. Rest assured that I'm not picking on anyone, or belittling anyone's work.
I am seeing that a large percentage of submissions lately are dreams. Most of which are jpeg animation dreams.
I find the jpeg animation dreams to be far inferior to the video and hybrid dreams. I will not download them, usually, and I'm guessing I'm not the ...![]()

Okay, I have an Issue With My External HDDs
The title pretty much says what the problem is, and for the most part it isn't an issue.... until I want to use various 3rd party programs to defrag and/or clean up.
For example, the wipe free space in Ccleaner is unavailable, with the select boxes for each HDD greyed out and the drive description being SSD, which it isn't. The other program I can't use is SmartDefrag. Again, the select boxes for my HDDs are greyed out, and the drives are recognised as SSDs.

error pops up during shutdown

I love windowblinds, it has amazing skinning capabilities, that's why I purchased it, I also purchased Naked Noir skin by vstyle, Its really an amazing skin.
However recently I have been dealing with this strange issue, whenever I try to shutdown, restart, or logoff the computer, I get this message :

WB 10 beta or window fx causing black screen after insider preview install
Sorry if this has been mentioned in WB beta thread.
Symptom is what title says. After first start (and restarts if desktop isn't made visible) only mouse cursor is visible. ctrl-shift -esc shows task manager from which I can close WB tasks and run new explorer task after which the desktop appears. Restart after that and everything works again.
If I just run explorer from the task manager without killing wb first nothing happens. Next restart I get black screen i.e., identical...![]()

So I just bought Object Desktop thinking that it would give me access to the software for life...
After I enter my downloads it says it expires in 365 days.
Nowhere in the store said that I was buying a suscription to the software, so I´m now requesting a refund and a cancellation for this.

Amazon has promised to bring back encryption to FireOS later this month
Amazon had decided to remove data encryption from FireOS, despite it being a very sound security practice. Clearly, if one’s device is hacked, and the thief gets nothing but scrambled data, that’s a more secure practice.
The reason Amazon cited? Very few were using it. That raises another question…how did they know that, I wonder? I guess their OS dials home with “anonymized data”. Maybe.

So I got me another phone.
Last week I applied to QLink for a new phone. Its similar to the one I have from Life Link in that it has the same amount of minutes and texts. The differences though are many. The old one is a Kyocera, basically it has a small keyboard below a 2" by 1.5" screen. Easy to send text and make a call. The other one is an HTC phone, a third larger with a touch screen. It has auto-rotate and a camera, I can take pics! Easy to access the internet which the other one can't do but, and here's the...![]()
