Error Installing Fences 3 Beta 2.91
Running Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview Build 14251.rs1_release.160124-1059
Uninstalled fences 2 and rebooted.
Started to install fences 3 beta 2.91. Almost immediately got a sharing violation error on fencesmenu.dll and the installation programs hangs and needs to be killed.
No specific anti-virus running, just Microsoft's own
HELP!

Icon size
I was wondering if there was a way to make the icons contained within a fence smaller than normal desktop icons? Something like half size or such. This would be very convienent for me. It maybe already present but I can't find it.

Small transparent window on top left of screen after unlocking.
As you can see from the image I have attached there is a small bar/window that is mostly transparent covering the start button and a few icons. This happens every time I unlock my machine with objectdock running and my taskbar on the side of the screen with the dock across the bottom.
I have seen this happen with 2 different machines one running windows 7 and the other windows 10. I'd like to find out if this is a setting I'm using or a known bug.![]()

Happy BIRTHDAY TO ME
As the title reads it my Birthday 03/02/16 or this way for the USA peeps 02/03/16 well the 3rd Feb was yesterday here in Oz so its a day late, but still feels like I'm celebrating still today. I got myself a new laptop which i like but hate windows 10 but thanks to starkers he has made it so much easier to use, and my man Stephen Ward brought me a very nice ceramic Teapot it so nice i love it starkers and Stephen and myself had a small party at stark...![]()

Blank Program Running on ObjectDock Plus 2.2 - Upgraded to Windows 10
I just upgraded to Windows 10 and now I have a blank program showing on my dock.
I am running the most up-to-date paid version of ObjectDock and have it set to show running applications.
There is a blank space on the dock with a running indicator undeneath, but no icon. Also, it does magnify the dock, but doesn't have a label when I hover over it. I can right-click on it though, and when I go to "Settings -> Edit This Shortcut" It shows it linked to "C:\WINDOWS\system32\Applic...![]()

Restore Maximum Power State to Surface Pro 4
My Microsoft Surface is a constant companion. It is absolutely central to my workflow.
One of the challenges I’ve had with it is battery life. There’s a lot of things you can do to help with your battery life but one simple thing I’ve done, for now, is to set the max CPU when on battery to 99%.
Setting the max CPU to 99% prevents the CPU from going into Turbo mode. For me, this accomplishes two things:
(1) I get roughly an extra hour of battery ...![]()

WindowsBlinds 10 and Windows 10 "Settings"
For some reason, the "Settings" windows in Windows 10, along with all of the other "Modern UI" apps, do not skin under WindowBlinds 10. I find this to be extremely disappointing. Will this issue be addressed in a future version of WindowBlinds 10?![]()

When I put my first above ground pool in around the late 90's we were able to open it in April and start swimming in May.
Now my pool is just opened and still not warm enough to swim in

WindowBlinds 10 Beta - Some apps not being skinned
First of all, thank you soooo much for finally releasing a WindowBlinds 10 Beta version. I upgraded to Windows 10 early, and I have been stuck with the ugly, ugly UI for far too long. I'm overjoyed to be able to skin Windows once again.
I am noticing that the following applications are not skinned by WindowBlinds 10 at all under Windows 10, at least in my installation:

I have had Fences 2.0 for years and never had an issue with it
Last night I upgraded from win7 to win10 now all my icons are frozen in place and can't be move.
I read on google that other were having this issue and when they uninstalled Fences the icons were normal again. I tried it and it fixed my icon they could move again.
I installed Fences again and now my desktop icon are stuck and will not move, so I uninstalled Fences again![]()

“My Disk Wiper”–before you sell that computer…
Clearly, if you’re going to be selling your computer to a stranger (or anyone else), the last thing you want is to leave any data on it.
So, My Disk Wiper is a good program, and will do it…even asks you twice, “Are you sure” type questions. It can be a long process, though.
gHacks recommends checking the effectiveness with Recuva or Testdisk…I think that’s a good idea no matter which software/method you use to erase the data.

Just here to say thanks
I've been using Windowblinds since Win98 although I don't show being a member that far back. I can still recall looking for so many ways to improve the Windows desktop from a program called "Plug-In" by Plannetcrafters to another called "Window Magic" (don't remember who made it) that allowed the user to roll up windows and had some nice wallpaper to go along. When Stardock came along with Windowblinds, that was it. I was hooked. Now I can't think of what I would do without it. W...![]()

Dr. Geezer was bored in retirement and decided to open a medical clinic.
He put a sign up outside that said: "Dr. Geezer's clinic, Get your treatment for $500, if not cured, get back $1,000."
Doctor "Young," who was positive that this old geezer didn't know beans about medicine thought this would be a great opportunity to get $1,000.
