Hi All,

For those of you who do not know me, I'm a developer here at Stardock.  Actually one of the original developers of WinCustomize.com.  

As you have seen, WinCustomize has not had many updates recently.  So, I'm looking to try and clean things up a little bit here. Starting out by fixing a few things.  So, I'm asking you, what issues on WinCustomize have really been bugging you that you would like to have fixed?

Hello, I am having an issue when I delete a file from my desktop.

In a nutshell, there are times when I delete a file from my desktop, that the icon from a different fence will move. An example would be where I would empty my recycle bin, then delete a file from a different fence, the icon for the recycle bin will move to my fence that I have all new files go to. Does anyone know a fix for the issue?

I searched about 20 pages pf posts, and saw one other post about the issue, but no resolu...

So I have upgraded My 8.1 OS to Windows 10. I had DeskScapes version 8.49 Installed when I upgraded and it had been working fine  for months now. Here is the rub. do I install the new version of DeskSapes  or leave it alone. I usually feel if it ain't broke don't fix it. Have all the bugs on the new version been worked out. Any input would be welcome.

Lovely Stardock people,

 

I have been using your great program Fences on my personal laptop with windows 10 for two days now, and my experience has been an extremely diverse mix of utter joy and frustration.

Joy was what I experienced first, because I have been looking for an application like this for as long as I can think and you have just about perfected everything about it. At this point I want to express a very big thanks to everyone involved!

But now using Fences has cause...

I just noticed I have an invisible icon on the extreme right of my dock with Windows 10.  I cannot remove it.  The icon properties are:

 

C:\WINDOWS\system32\ApplicationFrameHost.exe

Hi.

I download WB10 and installed it on Windows 10 Build 10586.36.  And though there are a few quirks, WB10 is very cool.

But I am desperate to change Explorer's background color.  Those stark white backgrounds give me headaches!

How do I change Explorer's background color?

Please tell me there is some way to do it!

I renewed my yearly subscription to Object Desktop but the date did not post to Object Desktop Manager.

Now Object Desktop Manager is reporting that my subscription has expired.

Can you look into this?

I just lost a friend of over 30 years yesterday. He was only two years older than me. Lost my wife of 44 years a few years ago. It makes one wonder if you said and did everything you wanted to because when someone is gone there are no second changes to say or do anything that may be on your mind or exactly how you really do feel about the person if you haven’t already said or done it.

People tell me I’m not old. Nice to hear but when you are over 70 at least for me I believe that ...

  I just recently installed Windowsblinds 8 and I'm having a real issue with it.

 

1. Whenever I try to start device manager, it fails to open. No error message, just will not start.

2. Internet Explorer is giving me the same problem. It fails to start, and there is not error message.

3. As soon as I unload Windowblinds everything starts working again.

 

OS. Windows 8.1 fresh install fully updated and patched.

MEM.  16Gb

recent upgrade to win 10. was using fences free (for many years). As it doesn't work with W10 now trialing v2.

 

I have created a new fence on new page, even dragged an icon into it from first page, but dragging fence to edge of screen does not work, it just compresses fence.

 

what does work (as stated by mrosten) is dragging fence to right edge then, whilst holding fence, pressing alt+right. This is unsatisfactory for those of us blessed with the normal...

I do not know what causes this behaviour, but nearly every day I have this problem. The fences will stop working as intended and icons can be placed anywhere on the desktop, completely ignoring the fences. When dragging fences around, the icons stay where they are. Scroll bars on the fences do not work at all. The only way I know how to fix this is by restarting explorer.exe.

I'm running Windows 8.1. Is there a solution to this?...

I was searching through my hard drives and I came across these Screenshots of Wincustomize from 14 years ago. For those of you that weren't here then, you could pick different themes for the interface of Wincustomize, I believe there were 5 or 6 themes you could choose from. Vagrant Frogboy
