I read the article, wasn't too impressed simply because MS continues to pull all kinds of BS without telling anyone. Don't mind the repetition in the article, just scroll down to the last paragraph.

Today, I got an email from Google stating "Someone used Firefox to sign into you Google account".

Oh, no, maybe I should only use Chrome to sign in [rolling eyes smiley]

...Oh, Yea, it was me, and I did it less than an hour ago...

 As if Google didn't know that Firefox was being used to sign in to the account from the same computer I use all the time.

I have been troubleshooting my computer for hours trying to figure out why my explorer crashes every time i log into my computer.  Google search after Google search turned up nothing.  So I started to work backwards on what programs I had recently installed.  Got to Desktop DreamScapes running an animated dream.  I really like it so I didn't want it to be it.  I set my background to a normal image and bam no more errors.  No more explorer crashes on st...

I have been using Fences for a long time. After upgrading to Windows 10, I found that I nolonger can move shortcuts from one place to another on my desktop. When I try to move a shortcut, all I get is a round circle with a slash.

It seems Stardock are very bad at communicating. We're four months on from the release of Windows 10 and we don't know when WindowBlinds 10 will be coming. There's no ETA. Will it be this year? We don't even know if it is weeks, months or years away. We've no idea if any work is being done on it - I am sure it is though.

What would be nice is a little explanation of the problems and an update on progress.

We all knew Windows 10 would mean a large proportion of Windows u...

Windows 10 and WindowFX 6. Using the Opera browser. Latest version of everything. Nvidia GTX 970 and Intel Core i7 4790K.

After playing a video in fullscreen, when I press Escape to return to normal, the browser window becomes completely transparent rendering it invisible. The only workaround is to open the video in a new window (as opposed to a tab) and then press CTRL + W to close the invisible window afterwards.

The gritty gangster (Feetch La Manna on the “Sopranos”) and detective (“Jagged Edge”) actor Robert Loggia has passed on at home at age 85.

He had fought Alzheimer’s Disease for five years, his wife stated. He didn’t only play the gangster/detective role, though. He played the company boss in “Big”. His career took off in 1966 with the lead in “T.H.E. Cat”.

I had been using V2.0 and many of my icons within multiple fences would disappear.  Sometimes on icon shortcut would be on top of another within the same fence. I would need to recreate the shortcut and drag it to the appropriate fence.

I upgraded to V2.13 and thought the problem went away.  Nope, I am still having the same problem.  Links are either disappearing or being placed on top of other links.

As a temporary fix, I create a new empty fence and drag and drop the links...

Engadget reported it, and Yahoo confirmed it…Yahoo’s displaying for a small test group the following message: "Uh oh... We are unable to display Yahoo Mail. Please disable Ad Blocker to continue using Yahoo mail." The original complainants were on Adblock/Adblock Plus Forums from folks who had to disable their adblockers to access their “free” email.

Yahoo isn’t trailblazing anything with this. It is something which is becoming more and more common…...

So what's the fuss about. Windows 10 installed earlier today and, that's it...

I can still do everything I need to with the minimum of effort. I still have my taskbar toolbar 'Programs', so I don't need that ugly start menu. Everything seems easy to find and nothing's broken.

The only thing I need to fix is the fugly look but, isn't that what we skinners do best

I've noticed lately that if I have DeskScapes running, my PC becomes very slow, and task manager says upwards of 90% of the CPU is in use.  As soon as I pause DessScapes, CPU usage drops to 15% or so.

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.  Is this a known problem?  Is there a process I can stop that still allows animated wallpaper without killing the CPU?

A niece's computer is 'entertaining' me.

It's Win 10 [need I say more]....

I had this idea to boot into safe mode to do an sfc /scannow... as there appears to be 'issues'.

Now, getting into safe mode isn't the problem....did that....as far as the login.

Dunno what the password is....

"Fuck it", I said "I'll reboot back to 'normal'.

So I reboot....

...and I'm back at the safe mode login.

Yes, there are ways to hold shift...while ...

Hi there,

 

I have ObjectDock 2.20 (latest version) and a while back, I purchased a 4K monitor.  When I set up the monitor, I had to re-adjust the settings for the scale and position of my ObjectDock on the screen.  Later, I returned the 4K monitor and went back to using my 1080p monitor.  Now, ever since I've gone back to the lower resolution, I've found that ObjectDock will not remember its position or size on the screen after a reboot.
