I'm running Windows 7, and I believe Windowblinds 7 also. I'm having a problem when I download a skin from WC my shut down button and log off button don' t appear. I probably need to upgrade but I can't afford to do so right now, but is this normal? That I need to upgrade, in order for this problem to fix itself.![]()

What browsers lack–an integrated VPN and I bet they’re the next big thing

Fences 2.x In Win 10
I can tell you from my experiences with Fences in Win 10 it just plain doesn't work. I used Fences 1.X for several years on Win 7 and it worked great. The Stardock people should not be indicating that 2.x works on Win10. They are just causing problem and hard feelings for their customers. They should work on it and not release it for Win 10 until they are sure it works.![]()

ActiveMovie Window keeps popping up
I'm running Windows 10 with Deskscapes 8.21 and everything works fine except for 2 problems.
1. My dreams freeze after a while and wont start up until I apply a new dream.
Temporary fix: I unchecked "Pause dreams when windows are maximized." This works but I don't like using it.
2. After waking my PC up from the screensaver, a window with my current dream is on the desktop, title of the window is ActiveMovie Window. I don't know how to fix this and it'...![]()

DeskScapes 8.5 is hogging the CPU
I've noticed lately that if I have DeskScapes running, my PC becomes very slow, and task manager says upwards of 90% of the CPU is in use. As soon as I pause DessScapes, CPU usage drops to 15% or so.
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. Is this a known problem? Is there a process I can stop that still allows animated wallpaper without killing the CPU?![]()

Need To Unstall so I can Update Microsoft 10 Pro to 1511 Build
I have Windows 10 Pro and Windows Update was trying to update to Build 1511 - Unfortunately I had a very old version of WindowBlinds and most of the files were missing, including the uninstall file. The update would not work I was told because WindowBlinds needed to be unstalled due to it not being compatible with Windows 10.
Emailed Stardock last on the 10th of November and have not heard back as yet.
Tried using Microsoft Tool and it would still not update correctly.

Hanging delays (Win 7, 10)
I've noticed a couple of similar complaints of Object Dock, slow/hanging & lag. I currently am using Windows 10 but this 'hanging-lag', which comes after launching an app from Object Dock, or attempting to launch an item with Object Dock not responding, like it's writing to itself or something is just not correct.

BUG?: Object Dock Won't Start Icon (path not found) - Redirected from correct 64 bit location to 32 bit program files on WIN10!
Hi,
I have a shortcut in a folder, it is to "c:\program files\blah", its properties are correct and work perfectly from Explorer.
I set up a Dock Menu (Show folder in a menu), when run from the menu it tries to run it from "c:\program files (x86)\blah" and fails. The dialog is created by ObjectDock (it doesn't ask Windows to invoke it).
This is on Windows 10 and teh latest Object Doco 2.20.0.862

“No email for you!”, says Yahoo to Adblock users
Engadget reported it, and Yahoo confirmed it…Yahoo’s displaying for a small test group the following message: "Uh oh... We are unable to display Yahoo Mail. Please disable Ad Blocker to continue using Yahoo mail." The original complainants were on Adblock/Adblock Plus Forums from folks who had to disable their adblockers to access their “free” email.

Windows 10 tip of the day: Why does my battery drain while sleeping?
Does your laptop or tablet run out of battery while it’s supposed to be asleep?
You can find out why thanks to a fairly obscure but relatively new feature in Windows.
Step 1: Open a command prompt in adminstrative mode
Step 2: Go to a temp directory (like cd\temp)
Step 3: Type powercfig /SleepStudy
This will create a file in the current directory. Open that file in your web browser and you will find out why.
Common causes:
