So I'm looking for ways to disable the charms bar in 8.1 and I came across a few things. One is a registry hack which I am loath to do because all it does is disable the hot corners. Slide along the edge and it'll come back. That's not a solution. I can disable the two hot corners, top left and right, through task bar properties but again...not a real solution. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7"
Is it worth it? Seeing as several retailers have been offering it at a substantial discount I finally picked one up. Here are my concise thoughts.
CONS
1024x768 (what is this 2010?!?)
1.2 quad core somewhat weak processor
2 GB RAM
16 GB onboard storage (expandable via SD card)
PROS
1024x768 (while somewhat of a negative is also a positive in the sense that the tab a can get away with a weaker proc as well and therefore enjoy PHE...

When I put my first above ground pool in around the late 90's we were able to open it in April and start swimming in May.

Just to say I am still here
As the title says Just to say I am still here. I thought that I would drop by to say hi and to tell my friends about a few things that have been going on in my life. Well where do I start, i got engaged 12 months ago coming up 2 years in November this year. His name is Stephen Ward he and starkers gets on very well and its great. And my daughter has moved from Tasmania to sunny qld (Queensland Australia ) and is pregnant with her 5th child . I am so happy that I could burst. ![]()

Start8 and Fences: First Apps Installed on New PC
If you follow my posts you might have seen I planned and recently finished my new PC. Putting together a new PC is a bit of work, at least assembling all the parts together and making sure everything works. That's only one part of it though, as you also have to install Windows, install all your apps and games, and then get your data moved back.

WindowFX Does not work with Windows 10
WidnowFX does not work with Windows 10. I am not complaining, I know its the preview, just letting the developer know.
To be more specific the windows animations don't work. Everything else seems to work.
One thing that definitely needs fixing is transparency. I want for example if I made explorer transparent
then close and reopen it it remembers my transparency setting. Right now it doesn't.![]()

Auto-arrange
Is there any way to turn off Auto Arrange in Fences? Sometimes it is good, but sometimes it make my organization difficult.

Objectdock Keeps deactivating in Windows 10
My Objectdock Keeps deactivating in Windows 10. It comes up with a message saying license has expired then I have to activate it again. It works until I reboot then the same thing happens again. Please help![]()

Could we possibly get a current list of OD programs that are compatible with Windows 10?
I would suggest pinning it and updating it when changes come around. At this point I see no way of telling which are and which are not.

Missing cd key
I am interested in purchasing Sorcerer King. I have read on the Steam forums that you could get a %50 discount if you already own Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes. I have purchased Elemental: Fallen Enchantress & Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes on Steam a few years back.

Folder portals and full-screen apps
I have encountered a strangely specific problem when using Fences – when I have a folder portal on the desktop, when I switch some games (Assassin’s Creed: Unity and Witcher 3, to be exact) into full-screen mode at resolution less then desktop resolution, the game instantly minimizes, and keeps minimizing every time I try to switch to it. The problem goes away as soon as I remove the folder portal from the desktop.![]()

Firefox still being skinned
I have Windows 7 installed on an external hard drive which i use when I get tired of looking at Windows 10. Everything is working fine with the exception that when I use Windowblinds (any skin except the default Microsoft theme) my Firefox buttons disappear. I added Firefox.exe to be excluded in the Windowblinds settings but it is still being skinned. Anyone know what is going on here.![]()

uninstall problem (SOLVED)
I am trying to upgrade to windows 10 and it keeps asking me to uninstall deskcape, which I haven't used since vista.
I go to the folder and try to uninstall it and a box pops up stating I need Stardock's Impulse Client to remove it. I click the link and it takes me to Gamestop...
I cant seem to find another way to uninstall it other than just deleting all files, which I will if nothing else can be done from asking here.

Newbie question
I just installed version 8.12 trial on Windows 7, and selected the Lantana theme. I love the look of what it does to my window title bars and borders, but not what it has done to the text of Firefox's menus, the Windows Task Bar, the Windows Start menu, etc...it has reduced the font size and changed the color to black. Is there some way to just use the title bar/border part of the theme, but not have it affect the fonts?![]()

Blank Program Running on ObjectDock Plus 2.2 - Upgraded to Windows 10
I just upgraded to Windows 10 and now I have a blank program showing on my dock.
I am running the most up-to-date paid version of ObjectDock and have it set to show running applications.
There is a blank space on the dock with a running indicator undeneath, but no icon. Also, it does magnify the dock, but doesn't have a label when I hover over it. I can right-click on it though, and when I go to "Settings -> Edit This Shortcut" It shows it linked to "C:\WINDOWS\system32\Applic...![]()
