Object Desktop and Win 7 SP1/Win8.1 -> Win10 Transition
I did a few searches and came up empty other than talks about the preview. With several OD apps (Start8/10, SkinStudio8, WindowsBlinds7/8) have OS-specific versions, what's the proper way to transition a machine on Win7 SP1/Win8.1 to Win10 with the in-place upgrade? Are there issues with version-specific hooks that require uninstalling OD apps and then re-installing after the upgrade? Are the apps designed to just go inert if the OS version changes underneath them and then you can uninstall/...![]()

Windows 8.1 Pro - Touch screen
As I say - I'm just completely unable to move the recycle bin into a fence.
No idea why - I also struggle to move other icons between fences - just seems all jerky.
This is on a windows 8.1 Pro - HP Envy X2 - with the latest version of Fences installed.

Slightly modify Windows 8.1 elements wirh WindowBlinds

I'm new to WindowBlinds and am wondering now if it it possible to modify just a few elements of my existing Windows 8.1 Professional desktop. I don't want to use one of the many full-blown styles around here or even create a new one from scratch, I just want to make some little contrast improvements of certain elements of the Windows 8.1 user interface (e.g. the colour of the scrollbars and window titles).
Is this possible? Something like "load the current settings, make som...![]()

Windows 8.1 having problems

I've downloaded, installed and uninstalled IP, and now have some problems with some icons. Icons without extension appear like this:
Just with a shield icon.
Also the same shield icon appears in *.doc files:
As I read in some solutions, I've tried: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shellex and delete the subkey/folder 'IconHandler', but I have not that key..
However, I searched "IconHandle...![]()

Let The process begin
Well my Partner and I have taken the plunge and bought a block of land and will be building our dream home. At the moment we are in the planning stage with a reputable builder. For those Aussies it's GJ Gardner Homes. We are auctioning the house in Melbourne in March so the proceeds from that will be more than enough to cover the entire costs for our new abode. How Do I Uninstall Fences On Windows 8?
So, I just downloaded fences on my new laptop, running windows 8, and I can't find a way to uninstall it. When I try to directly delete it, it says that it is running. When I try to use the uninstall program, it brings me to some "Norton Studio" program. Can you perhaps help me out? Anybody at all?![]()

Solid State Drives and Stardock Applications
My MSi GTX780DXR laptop died, so I purchased an MSi GT70 Dominator which comes with a 250GB SSD and a 1TB HDD. As I began to install the Stardock Applications, I quickly realized that data files such as the Windowblind and CursorFX themes would be installed on the SSD. This would be a terrible waste of the limited high speed space since I had 1TB of HDD available.

No option to change icon styles in a fence
Hello there,
When I create a fence on the desktop, that is a folder, not a regular fence, then i can choose view-> list, big icons, small icons, details etc. Thats very convinient. I was wondering why cant I do such thing with a regular fence? In the view menu I can only change opacity, not icon style/ size. This way I could have all my icons on the desktop listed as list, and not as tiles. Would you consider adding this feature? I wont believe I am the only one missing this . Any feedback...![]()

Apply Style not working
For some reason, when I click "Apply Style" it changes the taskbar and everything to white and the start button reverts to the window icon....I'm using Windows 7. When I go into Control panel / personalization - under themes - for "My Themes" it shows "Unsaved Theme" as my current theme.
No matter what blind I try to apply - nothing works. Is there something I need to correct on Windows so Window Blinds will work?
