You might be getting this warning…or even several hits with a “high” rating as malware with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Pro. They will probably point to the registry.

You won’t be able to see the full path in Malwarebytes (and that should be corrected by them). You can however save it to a text file and then get the full path.

I downloaded 8.1, rebooted and changed the skin, and everything worked fine. Then I tried to change it again. I was able to select a new skin, but when I clicked "apply" nothing happened. I tried with a few more skins, nothing happened. Finally I tried Windows Aero. The process took a very long time, with that blue circle spinning and spinning and spinning, and after it was done, the skin didn't change.

I haven't had this issue with prior versions.

Greetings - I purchased Cursor FX awhile back as well as Windows Blinds 8 and StartX to dress up my Windows 8 setup on my laptop. I have since been having a lot of trouble with the damn machine and have had to reformat it a few times, then the dang hard drive failed and I installed an old one I had laying around on my desk.  Each time I reformated it, I installed Cursor FX because I sort of like it despite the fact it does mess with some of my games and has to be disabled from time to time....

I'm running 64bit Windows 7 Professional.

Regardless of what mouse cursor, sounds and events I choose within CursorFX (being very sure to click APPLY bofre existing CursorFX), the changes seem to only function in a very small handful of areas.

 

The modified cursor seems to show EVERYWHERE like it should.....so the changed cursor is fine. However, the sounds and effects work in very few places.

 

For example, if I'm clicking items on my desktop, the sounds/e...

Watched the first two episodes and was very impressed.

 

It felt more like watching a well paced movie than a typical TV series. It took a lot of inspiration from the movie of the same name but it hasn't tried to remake the movie which I feel is a good step.


Very keen to see how this series develops but so far so good.

So, it goes like this, I'm poking around and organizing every Stardock file and assorted customizations (most somebody else's) into one directory on the portable backup drive. There are files here probably 10 years old or more. As I snoop through I find Fishy, and his buddy Kumanomi. Much delighted and run them. So I log on yesterday and notice that my fences which used to be lined up across the top of my desktop with a small space in between are all of a sudden overlapping one another. After some basic testing it seems the icon spacing inside my fences has somehow changed and has made my fences significantly wider. Assuming something changed it in Windows and fences was simply mirroring the change I checked there and noticed icon spacing in Windows is significantly smaller than it is inside the fences ...

I like my desktop to show a semi-transparent calendar. To that end, I have two requests:




1. Allow individual fences to have a background image, such as a calendar.

2. Allow fences to act as desktop widgets. For a calendar, the widget would offer various views.

Hi

 

Maybe I am doing something wrong, but I cant create any new pages by dragging fences to the edge and waiting a while. I can however create pages by dragging individual icons. But when I try dragging a fence into the new page it, it just becomes "flattened" against the edge of its existing page. I am using dual monitors with the desktop extended across both monitors.

 

Any help would be much appreciated.

I have the Sort Fence option set to none and yet every time I try to reposition an icon within a fence they don't stick where I want them. If I have a dozen icons within a fence and I want one or two icons to remain next to each other, it seems like every time I move one icon to where I want it to go, the others all change their order. I am looking for software that will regularly monitor the major mail types – POP3, IMAP and the webmail services (e.g. Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail).  I’d like the program to sit in the tray and notify me when mail appears.  I also would like to preview mail before I download it and have the option to delete it.   The viewer needs to display safely both plain text and HTML.
