Currently I own 10 Fence's licences, which I've adquired as an individual user.
I'm considering the posiblity of buying 25 aditional licences, through the corporate option.

I understand that the corporate version has the posibility of using a local activation server.

What I'd like to know if it's possible to make the server handle my previously purchased liscences aswell.

I have seen the future and it is good.  I like Windows 10. A lot.

I’m not loving their Start menu and while there is hope it will improve, it is good to know that Start10 is available.

Here is the current Windows 10 build with their Start menu:



I have a lot of problems with this.  First off, most desktop users are using the start menu to get to their stuff.  Stuff is more than just apps.  The Windows 10 menu is a “Modern” app which means no context menus....

The behaviour I am used to seeing when new icons are added is that they go where the foobar copy icon is:



(This is a screenshot of the top left of my desktop)

If I had more new icons added (from downloads mainly since I told my browser to save to desktop), they would keep stacking vertically downwards (so the next one would go under the foobar copy).

Unfortunately, Fences changes this behaviour. Watch what happens when I copy and paste an icon (using shortcuts, because right clickin...

I like my desktop to show a semi-transparent calendar. To that end, I have two requests:




1. Allow individual fences to have a background image, such as a calendar.

2. Allow fences to act as desktop widgets. For a calendar, the widget would offer various views.

None other than Mary Jo Foley (she’s covered MS and computing for 30 years) has written to update her readers about Stardock’s Start 10:

Am very pleased to report that WindowBlinds works great with the Windows 10 Tech Preview.

Upgraded from Win8.1, rebooted, and WindowBlinds works fine -- no problems. 

I did have to uninstall both Start8 and ModernMix, but I expected it would come to that (in the short run).

Disclaimer:

I work for Stardock which makes Start10.  That means I have a vested interest in the quality of the Windows 10 start menu.  The better the start menu is, the fewer copies of Start10 we sell. On the other hand, the worse their start menu is, the fewer copies of everything else we make will sell.  So overall, I would prefer that Microsoft make Windows as good as they can.

At least it’s there Windows 8 didn’t have a start menu at all. It had a start screen. As ...

You should be warned that it ships with crapware (as many do to increase OEM profits)…but it also ships with Superfish on it.

Has SD changed this in the last year or so??  

 

I used to be able back up my executables and in then re-load them without having to validate on their damn server.

 

I've been sending them a renewal fee for over 10 years;  while not really using the products all that much.

 

I had decided that this would be my last year since there t not enough NEW stuff that I need and/or want.

I recently installed an update to Fences - from 2.11 to 2.13 - rebooted and now it refuses to work at all.

1/. I installed the update, lost all my previous Fences and when I tried to  start it from the menu I got an error message that says - "Fences does not appear to be loaded"/"You may need to reinstall Fences".

2/. I reinstalled 2.13, rebooted and it made no difference, so I went back to the original 2.11 and reinstalled that - but with the same effect - that is, it doesn'...

I purchased Object Desktop Infinte but there is no place to download it, I got the reciept under "my orders" but I don't have it under "my downloads". I contacted support around 30 hours ago but they still haven't answered.

What should I do?

Sometimes especially when installing something on my pc like a game or software windowsfx stops working and when moving around a window it disappears and then reappears  when i let it go with the mouse why is this? i'm fully updated and i really like this software but if it keeps doing this im not going to buy it please help.
