Nagging reminders

Wish Impulse and Stardock would quite the nagging pop up reminders.

If I want to or wish to update my subscription then I will but the nagging pop ups on my screen are as bad as spam e-mails.

We all like the product but if we can't afford it right now with the economy the way it is ..i wish whey would stop nagging us.

And the more it happens the more i get tempted just to remove all my Stardock programs.

I don't know how others feel vut I am one on anti-spamming.

Where are my product serial numbers ?

When deciding whether I needed to renew my Object Desktop subscription for another year, I decided to check my Stardock Downloads archive and Object Desktop Manager to be sure I had everything archived properly ,including all SERIAL NUMBERS. When right clicking to show serial number for pasting to clipboard , all that is displayed is the OEM number, which of course is the same for all the software included in the Object Desktop Suite. This is troubling for me. Am I not permitted to install and u...

Yesterday, Kaspersky revealed (report in pdf form) yet another spy program…this time it appears that it was very well disguised on the hdds of the top manufacturers (WD, Toshiba, Seagate, and more). It is an eavesdropper,

“The targets included government and military institutions, telecommunication companies, banks, energy companies, nuclear researchers, media, and Islamic activists, Kaspersky said.” – Huffpost

The way it was done was ingenious, and a break...

Wheeler Supports Internet as a Title II Utility. Mobile, as well.

Well, there must be the gnashing of teeth and moaning in the inner sanctums of telcos and ISPs (probably Congress, as well): The Chairman of the FCC has come down supporting the classification of the internet as a Title II public utility (which it truly is), and the FCC will relate to it as such. This means the business interests of the telco/ISPs will come second to those of the public, and that there will be no further receiving subsidies they receive to maintain net neutrality, wh...

If you recently bought or are planning to buy a Lenovo…

You should be warned that it ships with crapware (as many do to increase OEM profits)…but it also ships with Superfish on it.

Superfish is adware which ‘sees’ the images on the webpages you visit and then offers ads compatible with them…for instance, if you look for a new table, it will try to insert ads with tables in them to “help” you. SO you say, All the sights I look at are https protected. Sad news: Superfish also installs a root certificate in your Windows certificate sto...

Super cool, down-to-earth and generous enough to meet with a big fan of his work. I wrote a short blurb about what we talked about on my site: Lunch with Brad at eXplorminate

I you know someone who hasn't bought Sorcerer King yet and they've been eyeing it, let them know to check out our contest for three keys of it, starting tomorrow!

No List View Option Available?

Hey there everyone!

I just got Fences on my machine and love it.  However after watching the intro video. one of the main features that attracted me was the ability to show the items in a Fence in a list format instead of a normal icon.  After installing Fences, under the view settings for each Fence I only have Opacity options and sorting options, but none of the view modes that were in the video.

Am I missing something?

nVidia Surround mode

I use three monitors.  I frequently switch between nVidia Surround mode (5760x1200) and "normal" mode ( 3 monitors @ 1920x1200 each).  Fences treats each mode as a different configuration/arrangement.

Although I can use snapshots to re-arrange the Fences in each mode. it is a pain to have to Configure Fences and find the correct snapshot to use.  Would it be possible for Fences to detect different monitor set ups and apply a default layout/snapshot/last used layout for each of ...

[Feature Request]

I like my desktop to show a semi-transparent calendar. To that end, I have two requests:

1. Allow individual fences to have a background image, such as a calendar.

2. Allow fences to act as desktop widgets. For a calendar, the widget would offer various views.

Thanks

SkinStudio Help

Any experts on here that would maybe help me update a 10+ year old skin (with animated title bar) so that it will work with the current version??

I've started playing with it, but besides the anim not animating, when the skin is in use no explorer windows (folders) will open.  Strange??

Thanks

Dock Setting Question

Is there any setting I may have missed to keep applications from going full screen behind my Objectdock? I like keeping the dock up front and not covering buttons and objects on the app . . .

Thanks!
