Ever since I did a format of Windows 8.1 and reinstalled Start8 the cursor has changed from an arrow to hand.Previously I could move the cursor to the top right hand corner and a cross would appear so I could basically shut down Windows 8.1 and go back to the 'normal' desktop. Now there is a hand and I can no longer do this. Can I and how do I change this to before? Thanks.

In a few days I'll  be having a brand spanking new Desktop and I AM going to put my Full ODNT subscription license on that machine.

So far Simple stuff, right? Shouldn't be hard to do according to the available info.

 

However. There are a few programs within this license I'd ALSO like to keep on the old Laptop.

Namely:
- Start8 (both machines have windows 8.1)
- Fences (just can't work without it anymore )
- Modernmix (for those NewUI/Metro/ModernUI(??)...

Hi,

my PC specs:

3 ghz dual core amd 64 bit

500 MB graphic card (zotac)

host system lxubuntu 14.10 use virtualbox to get win8.1 working . Can`t  install such a unstable OS  as win 8.1 on my real PC.

Windows 7 is ways better. However i liked to see the real differwences between 8.1 and 7 when running window blinds.

My laptop runs fine with 8.1 ( except window blinds) after some hours of work and only with most applications ( in most cases only those that are running un...

Hello,

 

I'm having an issue with the online payment. I wanted to buy and download Objectdock, but once I filled the payment form, it says "transaction rejected" and it takes USD$2 from my bank account... Why is that? I'm from Colombia, and It isn't a kind of tax per failed transaction or something, so... Why is that? I made 4 tries, and all them were failed and take USD$2 per rejection.

Hello I have downloaded 2 of the Enterprise animated wallpaper and I can say are cool. but I am having trouble with one of them. 

The Enterprise animated wallpaper showing the enterprise Dorsal view is having trouble loading to my Deskscape it keeps showing this Error:

The Dream may contain invalid video type or a compatible MPEG-2 video decoder may not be present.

I am not sure whats going on can you guys help? If CarGuy1 is reading this I hope he will tell me what codec I will ne...

After installing latest update to FF 35.0 WB makes crash of my browser in sefe mode and after unload WB everything works fine Any ideas how to fix this problem ??

I created a second User on my PC to alleviate some problems I'm having with my original User (file). Is it possible to copy the ObjectDock Desktop from the first user to the second - Help Appreciated, Bob

So, my laptop boots relatively quickly -- the desktop appears after about eight seconds, and I can immediately click icons to open programs or browsers.  However, the ObjectDock doesn't appear for another 12 seconds.  So, if I want to use Objectdock instead of desktop icons, right now I basically more than double my boot time.  Is there a setting I'm missing to make the dock load immediately with the desktop?

Clue me in someone please. I am tired of just showing pictures of my skins to friends and co-workers! I did a search, but can't see than anyone has mentioned this. My work PC has a 23" screen and at home I have a 19" screen. When I do a remote desktop from home to work, the icons get all smashed together. It is as if Fences is trying to preserve the same layout but it scales it down a bit. That I can live with, but the crazy thing is that when I get back to work the icons are still in the messed-up, smashed together layout. I have to manually put them all back to where they should be.

Just like the title says.  If you have enabled lock icon dragging under position then the ability to drag an item into the dock is broken completely.  I would expect the position to be locked (and ofc not be able to add items) but to still be able to drop items into existing icons (the trash for instance)...

Has anyone had this bug with the windowblinds 8 'windows 8' skin on windows 7, it shows some of the taskbar and some icons from the start menu aswell as overlapping the text.

Does anyone know how to fix?

As posted earlier, Microsoft had a media event today to give more details on what’s upcoming in Windows 10 for PC, tablets, mobile, etc.  They showed lots of features of Windows 10, announced that upgrades will be free for the first year, Cortana integration, Spartan browser, and also showed off some cool new technology.
