Hi all.  Happy New Year.  I am really struggling with changing things in SkinStudio without a proper manual for version 8.  So, I am probably going to be asking a lot of questions.  How do I change the size of the desktop icons and their associated text?

I have the Sort Fence option set to none and yet every time I try to reposition an icon within a fence they don't stick where I want them. If I have a dozen icons within a fence and I want one or two icons to remain next to each other, it seems like every time I move one icon to where I want it to go, the others all change their order. I really like the idea of having the desktop pages, but it would be helpful if I could name each one and have the name shown when I switch pages, either constantly or briefly.   I'm thinking of having a number of pages, maybe 6 or more, and it would be easier to see a name then try to figure out which page I'm on by just the icons.   I would also be nice, if possible to loop the pages together so if I'm on the far right page and I scroll to the right I would go to...

I was just updating my forum account, changing some minor information, when I got an error "Letters only please" on my Firstname field (which I didn't even touched)

Rumor is rife…MS abandoning the venerable IE? Untinkable? Not so much.

Mary Jo Foley…a very well respected author and reporter reported yesterday in her blog at zdnet that “big changes” are coming for IE. In fact, it appears that while the search engine itself will remain, it will be lighter, faster (as in ‘dekluged’) and be far more like Chrome and Firefox.

In fact, MS is building a new browser…called “Spartan” (good choice of name!). The brand name of IE is being ditched ...

I recently installed an update to Fences - from 2.11 to 2.13 - rebooted and now it refuses to work at all.

1/. I installed the update, lost all my previous Fences and when I tried to  start it from the menu I got an error message that says - "Fences does not appear to be loaded"/"You may need to reinstall Fences".

2/. I reinstalled 2.13, rebooted and it made no difference, so I went back to the original 2.11 and reinstalled that - but with the same effect - that is, it doesn'...

Our company is relatively small in size.  In total, we have less than a hundred people. And yet, our software is used by millions of people and we produce many new pieces of software a year.

When we do press tours of the company, it inevitably comes up, how do we do it?  The #1 answer is: Very low turnover.  It’s absolutely essential.  Someone whose been at their job for 10 years is far more productive than someone who is new, even if that person has industry experience....

Why does the webpage say that it is not compatible with windows 8?  IS this just the plain CursorFX software? I believe is not called Cursorfx Plus anymore. 

 

Just curious because I have ran it in windows 8 since it was released, with version 2.11 installed, no with windows 8.1 and it still clips along beautifully. Occsianlly in a game  I have to use the Cntrl-Shift-C to disable it so the in-game cursor works, and re-enable when done (same cntrl-shft-C)and all is ...

I'm Running Windows 7 64-bit

 

I've changed my icons multiple times using the same icon packager version 4.20

 

I started to use the icon package 'Slicer Vista' and since then everytime I try to apply a new package it changes all the icons except the folder icon, which is REALLY annoying. I've tried to rebuild the icon cache, repair shell icons and images and nothing works.

I was just wandering if there was any way to allow windows to handle the desktop wallpapers. I have a folder of over 20,000 wallpapers that i like to use and i have them cycle every 30 seconds, but in window blinds you can only have it switch every hour. I also usually use the "Fit" option instead of fill, tile, or center, or what have you, but window blinds doesnt have that option either.

Just like the title says.  If you have enabled lock icon dragging under position then the ability to drag an item into the dock is broken completely.  I would expect the position to be locked (and ofc not be able to add items) but to still be able to drop items into existing icons (the trash for instance)...

Hi, thanks for checking this out.... I'm not sure what the area inside the selection in windows is called.  to be sure I took some screenshots to show you what I'm talking about.  Mine seems to have corrupted somehow, the area is bleeding the desktop background though in windows  but on the desktop itself is no problem, just a dotted line.

 

I was trying to find it in SkinStudio, which I've used several times to mod my skins, but I can't seem to find the...

Not a 'lot' of skin....however 'da plane' is one of mine.

This is the new Machine....hence all those 'cores'.  A 'successful'  OS transfer between dissimilar Hardware.

windowFK software has seven tabs:
"Home, Animation, Window management, Right click menu, Inactive windows, Movement, Desktop icons";
"Right click menu", the one that was interested in but, does not work for any choice
No change appears, the menu remains the same color and the same choices ever
(instead the choices of the other tabs work)
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT TO DO TO CHANGE THE COLOR OF THE RIGHT CLICK MENU ?

What's the last movie you saw?  Doesn't matter if it was at home or at a theater.

Last one I saw was Captain Philips.  I thought it a pretty good movie, especially since it was based on real events.

32 is too large for me to fit all of my icons in a particular tab - is there any way to get around the apparent limitation of 32 as the minimum size?  The slider is all the way to the left at 32px, but I'd like that to be about 16.
