I'm trying out the additional menu icons for the first time. I need them to closely emulate the default windows 8 menus as closely as possible and have run into an issue. The "states" aren't showing correctly (or as directed in the help section of sks). Only the radio box shows. Not the check boxes.

I give up on windowsblinds working on windows 8 but the option to change the explorer background works fine so I'd like to use just that if possible. If I can't just do that with this program does anyone know of anything else?

Thank-you for this software. It has made keeping my desktop icons organized much easier!

I have a computer with 4 screens. When I log onto the computer through remote desktop (RDP) all my icons get jammed up onto one screen AND the screen is painfully slow to re-draw because it has to keep drawing all the jammed up icons.

So my work around is to hide all the icons using fences double click feature right after I logon.

So this annoying notification keeps popping up saying there is a new version of WindowsBlinds, I click to download it to my desktop and try to open it and get an error notification " Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have appropriate permissions to access the file."

 

How to I fix this problem? The notification pops up every two seconds, its very annoying.

I've installed this program but it appears on the wrong monitor. My active desktop is my monitor of choice but it selected my left side monitor. I didn't see any way of moving it over. Is there a trick to do this? Thank you.

When this program starts it loads on monitor 1 (which is my left monitor) and does not move to my desktop monitor 2 until I either do a logout/login or suspend the system. Is there any way to get this to load to my designated desktop monitor (2)? Is there a way to get it to stay put on monitor 1 and not switch to desktop? (If it stays put I can get used to its positioning.} Same goes for the sub docks as they move as well.

I find it a PITA that when you buy a new computer, or the OS online, you don’t get an OS dvd. In an effort to increase profits, MS became a well, PITA.

Well, gHacks did a big service for me today.

It gave links to the OS isos directly from MS. This isn’t “Whoopy! Free Windows!”, since you need your valid product key to use them.

I was Just thinking....

-After the holidays god knows January is hell for a lot of us, so why not put together a wintery community project with a little more "Dystopian" theme to "cheer" us up in the midst of winter?

"Dystopian" theme yet inviting to a light & refreshing color palette.

"Ice Age Y3K" or something

Just an idea with a little different twist that I think a lot of us can contribute to.

With latest WindowBlinds version 8.09, firefox 34.0.5 crash immediately at startup.
I've narrowed it down to the addon : Anti-Aliasing Tuner 14.12.03.01.

Which is the latest version for the addon.

When exluding firefox in WindowBlinds firefox works again.
If disable the addonon , it also works.

With earlier Windowblinds version this didn't happen.

When I start windows 8 and go to my desktop, I only see the taskbar and the background picture.

After a right click with the mouse, the fences appear.

How to configure fences to show fences right away?

I have Windows 8.1 update and run Object dock 2.20.0.862   The accessibility is "pinned to the desktop".  When I launch a program from the dock it appears above the window that it just launched.    It does not do this if I launch programs from the taskbar.     Can you please tell me how to fix this?
