Running Windows 8.1 64; Fences 2.13

Computer is 1.40GHz, 4GB RAM, 125 GB SSD, laptop

 

When windows starts up, Fences doesn't activate--nor are there any desktop icons--until I right-click on the desktop or start windows explorer. Quick hide is not enabled.

 

I have tried everything I can think of: starting from registry; starting as task; starting as service; starting as start-up folder link. I have uninstalled---removing every registry reference, folder, and file--...

Why does the webpage say that it is not compatible with windows 8?  IS this just the plain CursorFX software? I believe is not called Cursorfx Plus anymore. 

 

Just curious because I have ran it in windows 8 since it was released, with version 2.11 installed, no with windows 8.1 and it still clips along beautifully. Occsianlly in a game  I have to use the Cntrl-Shift-C to disable it so the in-game cursor works, and re-enable when done (same cntrl-shft-C)and all is ...

This used to work. I am running ObjectDock v. 2.20.0.862 on Win7 64 bit.

I run multiple windows of Firefox, and SecureCRT, and other stuff as needed. I used to be able to minimize these and then hover over the QuickLaunch Dock to see thumbnails of all the minimized windows and pick the one I wanted. No more. Now I have to click on the icon and I get them all at once. Or, I turn that off, and I get a new iteration.

I've been through the settings, and the best I can do is show the minimi...

I have problems with certain program as virtualbox or minecraft. It became transparent totally so unusable. I ve had this problem with firefox but there was a procedure for this kind of problem but that was only for firefox.

Hi,

 

The objectdock tab of both kind disappear when I launch a game like world of tanks or anything else which use directX in full screen I think... Is it normal?

I had almost forgotten about this, but I was looking for holiday skins today and there it was!  If you don’t remember or weren’t a member of the site, this was a community project back in 2009 in which several community member coordinated to create this really beautiful suite of various skins.  We’ve done community projects since then, but I think this one was one of the best.

I originally purchased fences years ago.

It had too many problems so uninstalled and waited for new versions to try again.

Sadly, I'm only using it a week and have already had 3 issues to report to the forums.

The latest one is ... I added a new icon to my desktop.  Then I right-clicked the desktop to sort by type.  Then I got a pop-up from fences asking something about maintaining a sort order.  I chose NO.  I then moved the icon to another screen where it is no...

Some pretty minor changes…GUI became flat, but the layout is unchanged (whew!).

Biggest change is the ability to manage and/or uninstall Chrome extensions – Tools>Startup>Google Chrome.

Might be a bit faster…hard to tell.

I've installed windowblinds on my new Yoga 3 and the close buttons on the browsers are so freak'n small that it's virtually unusable. How does Stardock plan to support higher and higher resolution monitors? I've already unloaded it because there is no scaling capability in the settings.

The latest Windows Update is causing a range of problems:

“KB 3004394 blocks the installation or update of graphics drivers such as AMD’s new Catalyst Omega. Nvidia users are also reporting difficulty installing GeForce drivers.” – Jason Evangelho

Wow, a year or so and it still is a pain in the backside to get a password reset from you folks. Why?

Is it really that hard to make the script work right? Hi,

I'm having trouble stopping Open Office from being skinned.

I have added both OO exes to the exclusion and also the specific one for Calc.

Despite this it is still being skinned.
