Previously, if I resized a fence, the ions within would reorganize to remain visible in the viewspace. For example, if I made the fence tall and skinny, the icons would arrange themselves into a single vertical column to remain visible.

Now, the icons don't move when I resize a fence. They remain in their original locations and often disappear from view on fence resizing. How can I restore the original behavior?

So, to make a long story short, life has been turned upside down for me. Went through a bad breakup, and escaped with almost nothing. So I sold a few things I no longer needed, and bought a Windows 8.1 tablet. Tried a full size laptop first, but with my current situation, and the fact I am now more mobile than I ever was in the last few years, I went with the tablet instead. Nothing special about this tablet, it has a Intel Atom quad-core processor, 32 GB solid state drive, and only 1 GB of DDR3...

Guys, lately I have intermittently not been getting an input box popup when giving karma in the forums. Sometimes it pops up at the top of the page, you have to scroll up to see it, sometimes no popup at all. IE 11, no addons. 

 

Windows 8.1 64 bit.

Yup, I just read that Fox USA is going to remake 'Luther', a British crime series starring Idris Elba.

I can just imagine the shenanigans now... how he'll protest vehemently that it pales in comparison to the original... and the language.

In fact, I may be inclined to agree with him.  While Elba will co-produce the series, he's going to be a hard act to follow in that role.

So what are the few tweaks? Actually, there's only one of them, make every key on the keyboard (including the function keys) totally programmable. 

The main thing that has killed Keyboard Launcher, that has rendered it "legacy," is the simple fact that the only modifier allowed is the Windows key and that is already globally used as a hot key in conjunction with many other keys.

OK, the best way to explain this is with an example. Take a look at Comfort Software's Comfort Keys...

Back in 2012, I wrote an article called Lumia 920–Best Smartphone I Have Owned.  It’s gotten a nice amount of views and several pages of comments since then, mostly about Windows Phone 8. Some pretty minor changes…GUI became flat, but the layout is unchanged (whew!).

Biggest change is the ability to manage and/or uninstall Chrome extensions – Tools>Startup>Google Chrome.

Might be a bit faster…hard to tell.

 There is a link I found to DeskScapes 8.09 beta. However it just takes me to my purchases. I want to see if this bata will solve my problems with Windows 8.1. I guess all that really matters is getting Deskscapes 8 to work on my computer using windows 8.1. At this point I am very frustrated. WidnowFX does not work with Windows 10. I am not complaining, I know its the preview, just letting the developer know. 

To be more specific the windows animations don't work. Everything else seems to work. 

One thing that definitely needs fixing is transparency. I want for example if I made explorer transparent

then close and reopen it it remembers my transparency setting. Right now it doesn't.

Putting a shortcut onto the dock and added "%HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%" in the Start in field.   ObjectDock send me to the directory where objectDock is located.

First I would like to point out that the user interface for windows eight was made for cell phones beca7se the screen is to small. It works really well for small screens. Now on a lab top or computer where screens are from 14" to30" why do I want huge icons. That is part of it why would I not want a start menu where I have a list of runnable programs. In April of this year I purchased from Wincustomize a vStyler VXP 2010 skin for my Windows 8 computer.   For the most part it works OK but I have been having some problems especially with Firefox.   I noticed where he updated this theme on 10/3/2014.
