I have fences installed, i then got windowsFX sadly only to find out that upon restart, fences constantly crashes windows every time it tries to open, i have a feeling it might be due to that windowsFX is trying to hide the icons, but also fences is trying to do so with folder type things also.![]()

ModernMix crashes Windows 10 Preview Modern Apps
This morning I installed ModernMix in Windows 10 Preview. I wanted to add Modern Apps to my desktop. When I click on a Modern App it opens, turns completely black, and then disappears (crashes). Once I uninstalled ModernMix the Modern Apps open as usual. I do like adding them to my desktop via ModernMix. Any suggestions? I know "Preview" equals buggy, but I thought Stardock would like to know this information.![]()

cursor reverts to white arrow
I bought CursorFX and like using the "Hand" cursor. The problem is it keeps turning off, reverting to the default windows mouse (white arrow). In the CursorFX program, I selected the new cursor and hit Apply. It works for a few seconds and after I click around...before I know it, it's gone!
I'm using Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium.

Can't activate Fences (server down?)
Hello, I just download Fences again to use on Win 8.1 but I cannot connect to the activation server

Snow or Leaves falling on desktop?
Does anybody know how to make snow or leaves (a custom picture would be best) falling on the desktop? I do not want to make an animated wallpaper or a screensaver. Ideally, the snow would be falling over each window while I am working on the computer. Screensavers do not allow the background to change while the snow is falling and animated wallpapers stay in the background. I would like it in the foreground. Please Help!![]()

CD Check - An Invaluable Tool
No matter how clever you are with doing backups...and even redundancy backups....
There comes a time when it all goes pear-shaped.
Simplest error - 'CRC'
Cyclic Redundancy Check - Error.
What happened....
I noticed a Syncback log showing a file-backup failure due to a CRC error.
I checked and found the same file had caused the True Image backup of the drive to fail.
I didn't have an even vaguely recent copy of the file....it was a still-to-be-worked-on ...![]()
There comes a time when it all goes pear-shaped.

Hard drive making a chirping sound
So about every other hour of computer use my hard drive is making chirping and beeping sounds. It happens especially when I am accessing large files or moving large files. Windows says the drive is fine, and a SMART check says the drive is fine. According to the program HD Tune the drive SAMRT status is OK, but it says the spin retry account is above the threhold. The program also reports the drive has a power on time of 27450. I have no clue if that is minutes, hours, or days. I know the drive ...![]()
