I have never been able to launch a 64bit application from a folder shortcut in ObjectDock. Is this possible?

 

Explanation:

I use the 64 bit version of FireFox (named Nightly). It is installed at "C:\Program Files\Nightly\firefox.exe".

I have a shortcut to the executable in a folder named "Internet". The shortcut target is "%ProgramW6432%\Nightly\firefox.exe -p Nightly -no-remote". This shortcut works fine when double-clicked.

We were watching the season premiere of the The Big Bang Theory and I saw the promos for a new show Scorpion, which would come on after.  It didn't look too bad so I decided to watch and see if it was any good.

I liked the overall concept.  I mean, a group of genius hackers -- what's not to like?

I'm getting multiple instances of explorer.exe which is shooting up my CPU to 50-75%.  Does anybody know what is causing this?  Thanks.

This out of Softpedia, reporting on an interview with MS Indonesia President Andreas Diantoro. During this interview, he reportedly said that Windows 8 would update to Windows 9 Technical Preview (original story at detik.com). This comes after MS France’s President said that the preview would be coming this week.

Apparently, W8 will update to W9 without the need for a clean install. MS is neither confirming nor denying this (Google Translate of the original):

Hi,

Folder portals are useless if they don't update instantly. I have a folder portal for my downloads but it doesn't update until, maybe, I restart or something. Is this not sorted?

What's the last movie you saw?  Doesn't matter if it was at home or at a theater.

Last one I saw was Captain Philips.  I thought it a pretty good movie, especially since it was based on real events.

So I have a choice here. And I need some advice as I have found you all here to be the best when it comes to these things.

Basically I am having a hard time choosing what Windows system to use.

Let me start by saying I have a Pentium dual core CPU, 4 GB of RAM, and onboard video, and a 120 GB hard drive. Nothing fancy or powerful.

My options are:

Sunday the Ravens dominated and ultimately won against the Panthers.

Tuesday  Person of interest premieres for its fourth season. (One of my favorite shows.)

Wednesday The walking dead premieres on regular TV and happily await it like I did galciv3.

Hmmm... That's it for the near future, let me see if I forgot anything. Oh look, I forgot Monday! (looks at calendar and heart skips a beat.) 1:00 tooth extraction of the top molars... How could I have forgotten. :/

I used TClock 2010 for quite some time now without problem.  Now that I installed WindowBlinds (8.0.6) this system tray clock is not able to show a transparent background. I've tried to find in Skin Studio (I'm a newbie and never really designed skins) where I could make it transparent again but no luck.  I am using Lantana 2.  There are no settings in TClock 2010 for transparancy, it's enabled by default.

ACME, bought out by SuperValue about 7 or 8 years ago (bummer cause I went from a 40 hr. week to less than 20) has been hacked. They're not sure, so what else is new, if any personal info was taken. Poor ACME

Is the top ribbon bar (directly under the Title Bar) skinnable.  Can  you make this a different color than the Explorer background. I'm trying to skin Dimond .
